In Season 23, Episode 13 of Family Guy, titled “Around the World in 80 Sways,” the Griffin family heads off on a tropical vacation to Bermuda. But as always with Family Guy, things don’t go as planned.

Their resort, the White Lotus Bermuda, is a direct parody of HBO’s popular show The White Lotus. The place looks fancy, but it’s full of chaos, drama, and laugh-out-loud moments, just the way the Griffins like it.

When they arrive, the family is shocked to find Brian working as the hotel manager. He’s cleaned up his act, quit drinking, and says this new job has changed his life. But managing a resort full of crazy guests and even crazier friends (like the Griffins) isn’t easy.

Not long after checking in, Peter sees a roadside sign saying the resort has the “world’s best cheesecake.” That’s all it takes for him to ditch Lois and set off to find this magical dessert in Family Guy.

When Lois complains, Peter hits her with a classic line:

“Who am I going to listen to? My wife? Or a sign on the side of the highway?”

Lois and Quagmire Go Sightseeing in Family Guy

Feeling ignored, Lois decides to spend time with Quagmire in Family Guy. They go visit a lighthouse together, and the show plays up the idea that something romantic might happen between them. The camera cuts and dramatic music make you think there's tension brewing.

Joe even warns Peter, but he brushes it off with, “Relax, it’s fine.”

Meanwhile, in Family Guy, Stewie invents a new personality for his vacation, a snobby, well-traveled man named Desmond Voyage. He adopts a fake accent and starts hanging out with three fashionable gay men at the resort.

They’re impressed with his jokes and take him under their wing, even inviting him for a yacht trip.

Brian’s patience wears thin when Stewie starts complaining about his room. Apparently, the ocean view isn’t ocean enough, and the free fruit platter has too much honeydew.

Their back-and-forth turns into a nerdy argument about what qualifies as a berry in Family Guy. It’s classic Family Guy banter - smart, silly, and petty all at once.

Chris and Meg, trying to be cool, attempt to shoplift a bottle of rum and a t-shirt from a gift shop. Of course, they fail miserably and get dragged back to Brian.

The price tags make Chris joke about hotel prices:

“How much for nothing? That’s $5?”

Then comes the punchline:

“Hotels. What are you going to do? Take a cab to a pharmacy?”

Peter starts to worry that Lois and Quagmire are maybe getting too close in Family Guy. But when he sneaks up on them… surprise! They’re just eating cheesecake together.

This is where Peter finally gets it. Lois felt ignored. He apologizes in his own weird way and even agrees to go shopping with her.

Lois: “Oh, that’s all any woman wants. I love you, Peter.”

Back on the yacht in Family Guy, Stewie overhears his new friends talking about a “sacrifice.” He panics, thinking they plan to toss him into the volcano called the Purple Head.

Desperate, he calls Brian, who’s had enough and refuses to help. Instead, Brian rambles about a novel he’s writing inside a mushroom. Yeah, it’s that kind of episode.

The big twist: Social media “Sacrifice”

Turns out, the “sacrifice” was just about posting a photo without filters or edits, a hilarious jab at modern social media.

Stewie, who thought he was going to die, had already written a goodbye speech. The whole situation flips from scary to silly in true Family Guy style.

Then, one of Stewie’s new friends jumps in the water to grab his hat and gets attacked by sharks. The reason?

Someone had thrown cheesecake into the ocean, luring them in.

Yep, everything ties back to Peter’s dessert obsession.

Back at the hotel, Brian is fired after it’s revealed he went a little too far in helping a guest.

Peter: “Even their pillow?”

Brian: “Yep.”

Peter: “Nice.”

It’s weird, gross, and oddly satisfying.

The episode ends with the family getting ready to head home. They joke about going to the White Lotus in Thailand next time, but someone says, “Eh, I hear it’s not as good.” A perfect jab at fans who didn’t like Season 2 of the real White Lotus.

“Around the World in 80 Sways” is a fun mix of everything Family Guy does best: crazy side plots, random cutaways, awkward tension, pop culture roasts, and a surprising dose of heart.

Whether it’s Peter’s cheesecake obsession, Lois’s mini adventure, Stewie’s over-the-top yacht journey, or Brian’s meltdown, each storyline keeps the laughs coming while poking fun at modern resort culture and shows like The White Lotus.
