Fans of The Wheel of Time are just not ready to accept defeat. It has been almost two weeks since Prime Video announced on May 24 that the show would not be renewed for the fourth season, and the April 17 release was the last we would ever see of it. There had been a lot of uncertainty around the

The fans of the show, however, were not so ready to accept this decision, and in response, created an online petition to gather support and give the show a fighting chance at a renewal. Fans' dedication has reached a major milestone with the petition having crossed 100,000 signatures.

Fans make a major effort to save The Wheel of Time

In an impressive display of passion, in less than two weeks, fans of the Prime Video show The Wheel of Time have created a petition website titled SaveWOT. The petition on the website has crossed the 100,000 mark and is close to 132,000 at the time of writing.

What makes this effort even more impressive is that this website is not some juvenile attempt at a petition. This is a properly curated website complete with links leading to Fan Love in the form of Fan Testimonials and Love Letters to WOT, ratings of the show compared to other shows such as House of the Dragon Season 2, The Witcher Season 3, Rings of Power Season 2, and critics reviews about the show, along with a YouTube video that will convince even, a newbie to the show, that it deserves to be renewed. This effort made by fans is unheard of in recent times, as the website reads:

"A show that continues to improve, captivates a global audience, and celebrates diversity while telling one of the most important fantasy stories of the past 100 years deserves to be seen through to completion."

The website has been created by the creators of another website named WOTseries, which was created around the initial release of the show. As of now, there is no information if this effort is anywhere near Prime Video's radar, or if the petition can have any effect on a renewal.

In the past, passion from the audience, after the cancellation of a show, has led to it being renewed (Star Trek: The Original Series, Friday Night Lights, Community), but the entertainment industry has gone through a lot of change since then. At the crux of it, Prime Video came to the conclusion that The Wheel of Time just didn't have enough viewership to make up for the amount of resources that were being invested into the project.

Only time will tell if this passionate project will make any difference to the future of Prime Video's The Wheel of Time.
