Fans talk about how Peacemaker Season 2 should’ve been focused on Chris’s friendship with Adrian

The Peacemaker fanboy, Adrian Chase, definitely has a lot to unfold in Peacemaker Season 2. After the team's success with the last mission in Season 1, things have not been well for any of them. Chris is spiraling after getting rejected from Hartcort, Leota’s married life is in shambles, and each and every character is going through something.

Peacemaker Season 2 is definitely taking a unique turn with the plot. However, many fans have pointed out that this season should definitely focus more on Chris and Adrian’s budding friendship. In a Reddit post, fans talk about how Peacemaker Season 2 should be about Peacemaker and Adrian’s friendship.

Fans want to see more of Adrian and Peacemaker’s friendship in Peacemaker Season 2

In a Reddit post, fans dive deep into the world of Peacemaker Season 2, bringing out theories and thoughts about how the series should tread towards the unique dynamic between Adrian and Peacemaker. In the first season, we have seen that Adrian, who sees Peacemaker as his idol, forms an unexpected bond with the crime fighter.

Adrian himself is a self-proclaimed crimefighter who later joins the team to help with Project Butterfly. Though Chris often suffers from his insecurity, which is further highlighted in the second season. Adrian is the one person who genuinely wants to be close to him. Their interactions are filled with a unique layer of humor that leaves an impact.

A fan pointed out,

“I could see Adrian being the first person Chris tells about the alternate Earth, even bringing him there to see for himself. Or Gunn is actually referring to Chris spending time with Adrians variant. Either way, I have a feeling most of the time we'll be seeing the two together is in Earth 2.”

As Peacemaker Season 2 depicts that Chris is focusing more on the other universe, and in the second episode, we do see Adrian and Chris working together to dispose of the body, there is definitely a chance that the second season will focus more on the two of them.

Though digging deeper into the friendship between the two characters in the second season would be intriguing to watch, it must not be forgotten that the main focus of the series is Peacemaker. This is rightfully pointed out by a fan,

“I think that’s probably better saved for a Vigilante solo show/comics run/etc. While Adrian is my favorite character and I would be stoked for more screentime of him, the show is still called Peacemaker, not Peacemaker & Vigilante.”

The idea of making the friendship between the two of them the focal point of the second season would take away the spotlight from Chris’s character arc. However, it would definitely add more to the character arc of Adrian, which was not delved deep in the first season of the series.

Though we see Adrian star-struck with Peacemaker, a major fan theory is the conflict between the two of them. If the path of the two characters keeps on progressing the way they are, there can be a possibility of seeing Chris ending up on the opposite side of Adrian’s Vigilante. Adrian enjoys the chaos, which Chris does not. This could lead to a dramatic climax between the two of them. A fan noted,

“They’re going to spend a lot of time this season showing you more depth to Adrian and also that he’s a psycho, so ultimately the focal point of Season 3 will be Peacemaker vs Vigilante. Investing season 2 into making you connect and understand them more makes the conflict in S3 hit harder.”

Though there are many different opinions regarding the relationship between Chris and Adrian in Peacemaker Season 2, at the end of the day, it is the decision of the creators to ultimately decide whether we will be getting more of Adrian and Chris’ friendship or not. The next episode of the series will be released on September 4, 2025.
