FBI: Most Wanted, the spin-off series of the show FBI, came to an end with season 6, episode 22, titled The Circle Game. The spin-off was cancelled in 2025 by CBS, though it had higher ratings than a number of shows on the network. The official synopsis of FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Episode 22 reads:

“The Fugitive Task Force hunts down a rogue government operative planning a domestic terror attack; the team prepares for big changes.”

It was revealed that Barnes would be taking over from Remy.

Let us now explore in detail what happened in the final episode of FBI: Most Wanted and what changes the team went through.

The following article contains spoilers.

Remy announces his retirement in FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Episode 22

While Remy’s decision to retire from the FBI is not really shocking, the announcement nonetheless surprises his teammates. After the team solves the final case assigned to the Fugitive Task Force, they all go to Remy and Abby's newly opened restaurant to celebrate Remy’s birthday and also the opening of the place.

After Remy and Abby treat the team to great food, they surprise him with a cake. The gesture naturally touches Remy, and he decides that he should make the announcement right at that moment. As he informs his team that he will no longer be heading the Fugitive Task Force, they are surprised but also feel happy for Remy.

Remy’s retirement also means that he will be able to spend more time with Abby, who always complained about his long working hours and constantly having to stay away from her. Besides announcing his retirement, Remy also mentions the person who will succeed him, and it’s none other than Barnes.

The Fugitive Task Force is assigned a complicated last case in FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Episode 22

The final case that Remy and his team have to handle in FBI: Most Wanted appears simple, but gets complicated as the story proceeds. Initially, after a federal worker is murdered following his participation in a protest, the team tracks down Saquon and Judy, the two perpetrators behind the murder.

However, Saquon is eventually shot by Barnes, and following that, Judy comes to the police herself. It is then revealed that Saquon was actually working for two federal auditors who have been after the security codes and other data, which would have given them access to federal computerized systems and power grids.

After this revelation, the team goes after those two auditors who also murdered two security guards. Eventually, one of them surrenders himself as his partner is shot fatally. This brings an end to the final case of the Fugitive Task Force, which they solved successfully.
