Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8, titled 'Fresh Start,' premiered on December 12. The synopsis of the episode read:

"Bode participates in a high school drunk-driving drill that unexpectedly reconnects him with a former classmate. Three Rock reopens with a new crew and high hopes."

The last episode ended on multiple cliffhangers, with Bode taking the responsibility of Tyler and Jake revealing to Malcolm that he is his brother through a voicemail. At the same time, viewers also saw a growing bond between Sharon and Ruby, with Sharon agreeing to meet for coffee as per their fixed schedule.

As the synopsis suggested, the Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8 brought back the Three Rocks. However, the crew is totally different and younger, which is a challenge for Eve to train.

Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8 Recap: Bode helps Chloe navigate Tyler's struggles

Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8 introduced a new character, Chloe, a teacher at a local high school. Bode and Chloe know each other from the past, which helps them reconnect at the drunk driving awareness program.

After talking for some time, Chloe reveals her son, who turns out to be Tyler, the same kid whom Bode is trying to help. As part of the program, Tyler takes part in a staged accident scenario, which aims to teach students about responsibility.

Bode tells Chloe that he didn't survive the simulation, and though it was just a part of the program and not real, it impacts Chloe. Bode, trying to build a bond with Chloe's son, works with him at a station. The awareness program also had a mock funeral during which Tyler loses his calm at Landon.

Later, Bode drives Chloe home, only to find Landon shouting at Tyler, leaving Bode to jump in and stop them. While they were confused about why Tyler was behaving so differently when it came to Landon, Tyler didn't take the time to reveal that Landon may have started the Zabel Ridge fire, after which Bode called Sharon to report it.

Jake reaches out to his half-sister for a new start

After Jake tries to reconnect with his half-brother, Malcolm, he gets blocked. In the last episode, Malcolm's sister also told him to stay away from Jake after coming to know that Jake tried to connect with him.

With no help from his half-sister, who is not ready to offer any support, he eventually just gives her a letter, waiting for his half-sister and Malcolm to figure things out first. Though he has assured that he will give them space, whether Malcolm will reach out to him to fix their bond is something viewers have to wait and watch.

The return of the Three Rock brings a new challenge for Eve

Three Rock, the firefighting training camp, has marked its return. However, the viewers get to see a new young crew. While this means they will bring fresh energy, it also means they come with less expertise and will lead to more challenges. As expected, they faced difficulty in following the instructions and even getting along.

Though Manny sees the gap, they are still sent to the forest fire, which only brings more problems and arguments. Though Eve doesn't have any option other than taking these juvenile inmates, she is looking to find a solution. At one point in Fire Country Season 4 Episode 8, Eve even loses her calm, saying:

"These are not my guys."

How Eve will manage the team and help them come together is something viewers will have to watch to find out in the upcoming episodes.
