CBS hit Fire Country will return for the fourth season next month, in October. Showrunner Tia Napolitano recently sat down for an interview with TV Insider that was published on September 11, 2025. In that interview, fans were ecstatic to learn about the upcoming season of the series that revolves around the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire.

The season 3 finale ended on a rather shocking note as actress Stephanie Arcila's Gabriela Perez was written out of the series. The said finale aired on CBS on April 25, 2025, and since then, the internet has been rife with rumors regarding Gabriela Perez's role in the upcoming season. Now, Tia Napolitano confirmed in the TV Insider interview that Stephanie Arcila's Gabriela will be seen in Fire Country Season 4.

Explaining Napolitano's comments regarding Gabriela's role in Fire Country Season 4:

To refresh your memory, the Fire Country Season 3 finale ended on a cliffhanger as Bode had to watch his father, grandfather, and mother trapped inside a burning building. So many believe that the opening scene of the season 4 premiere, Goodbye for Now, will answer the cliffhanger from the season 3 finale. Given the title of the episode, fans also believe that the season 4 premiere will serve as a farewell to Gabriela Perez.

Confirming Arcila's role in the fourth season, Napolitano said:

“We’re so happy to have Stephanie back, to have Gabriela back in the premiere, and we really wrote a love letter to the character. We will see glimpses of Bodiela [the relationship between exes Bode and Gabriela]. It’s really a beautiful sendoff for now that’s fitting to the character that, if you’re fan, I think it’s real fan candy.”

Fire Country showrunner Tia Napolitano further teased that fans can expect more of Bodiela. i.e., Bode and Gabriela in the upcoming season:

“She’ll become very significant to him, as she always has been, in support in his life in the premiere so that he wonders when she leaves how he’s going to be without her. We’ve only known him since she’s been in his life in different capacities over the years, so, it’ll shake things up. I think it’ll make us wanting more Gabriela in the future, which is never a bad thing.”

When the TV Insider reporter asked Napolitano whether fans will get to see more of Stephanie Arcila's Gabriela in the fourth season, the showrunner simply answered, “Never say never.”

Season 4 returns this October:

You are bound to be excited for the season 4 premiere, given all the tantalizing teases from the TV Insider interview. Looks like the wait for the first episode won't be that long, as it is scheduled to air on October 17, 2025. The official logline of the Fire Country Season 4 premiere reads:

"In the aftermath of the Zabel Ridge fire, Station 42 faces internal turmoil but must rally together for a high-stakes rescue that tests their strength, loyalty, and the future of the firehouse."

While we wait for the fourth season, the previous three seasons are available on Paramount+.
