First look of Netflix’s A Man on the Inside Season 2 revealed

A Man on the Inside Season 2's first look has been revealed. Season 1 followed Ted Danson as Charles Nieuwendyk, a retired college engineering professor who, after losing his wife, takes on the job of an undercover private investigator at Pacific View Retirement Community.

In Season One, we saw Charles take on the case of the missing ruby necklace, and in A Man on the Inside Season 2, he will be back for another case. This time, Charles will be at Wheeler College, investigating a new list of suspects. As Netflix has just announced, A Man on the Inside Season 2 will be released on November 20, 2025.

A Man on the Inside Season 2 first look and more details

While Charles had initially agreed to work on only one case, he ultimately agreed to take on another one when Julie offered it to him at the end of Season 1. Now that Netflix has released the first look at Season 2, the retired professor-turned-private investigator will head to Wheeler College for a new case.

Season 1 of A Man on the Inside ended with Charles uncovering who had stolen Helen's necklace. It turned out that Gladys, a fellow resident at the retirement home, had taken it. But she did not have any ill intentions. Gladys suffers from Dementia, which made her do something she normally wouldn't. The season ended with the case being solved and Charles agreeing to another case.

Not much about the story for Season 2 has been revealed yet. But Netflix has announced a list of new characters we're going to see in A Man on the Inside Season 2. The new cast for Season 2 includes Gary Cole as Brad Vinick, Michaela Conlin as Andrea Yi, Max Greenfield as Jack Beringer, Sam Huntington as Max Griffin, and Jason Mantzoukas as Apollo Lambrakis.

Additionally, other new cast members include Constance Marie as Vanessa, David Strathairn as Dr. Cole, Jill Talley as Holly Bodgemark, Madison Hu as Claire, Lisa Gilroy as Kelseigh Rose, Linda Park as Elizabeth Muki, and Ted Danson's wife, Mary Steenburgen, who will be joining him on screen as Mona Margadoff.

The returning cast for A Man on the Inside Season 2 includes Ted Danson as Charles Nieuwendyk, Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Emily, Lilah Richcreek Estrada as Julie, Stephanie Beatriz as Didi, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as Calbert Graham. The show is created by Michael Schur, who is also an executive producer on the show for season two, along with Morgan Sackett, David Miner, Maite Alberdi, Marcela Santibañez, Julie Goldman, and Christopher Clements.

The show is based on the documentary film The Mole Agent (2020) by Maite Alberdi. A Man on the Inside is produced by Nate Young, Ted Danson, Sylvia Batey Alcalá, and Frank Sackett, and the production companies behind the show are Fremulon, 3 Arts Entertainment, Dunshire Productions, Motto Pictures, Micromundo, and Universal Television.

A Man on the Inside Season 2 will be released on Netflix on November 20, 2025. Before Season 2 comes out, you can catch up on Season 1 of the show, which is now streaming on Netflix.
