Ted Season 2, the prequel to the 2010 movie, is returning for another season of the R-rated teddy bear on Peacock on March 5. Seth MacFarlane, as the leading man, brought the TV series to the most-watched original title for Paramount, and now he’s returning to claim that spot yet again.

The R-rated teddy bear was brought to life after John wished him to life as a young boy. The prequel series takes us right back to the adventures of John and Ted in high school. The second season follows the teddy bear (voiced by MacFarlane) and John in 1994, when John starts his senior year in Boston.

Ahead of the March 2026 release of Ted Season 2, Peacock has released a brand-new poster. Keep reading to find out more.

Peacock releases poster for Ted Season 2 ahead of March release

Since its 2024 release on Peacock, Ted has been one of the most-streamed originals for the network, and the second season is officially due to arrive in March 2026. Ted Season 2 is set to premiere with all eight episodes on March 5, 2026, for a true binge-watch experience.

Apart from releasing several exciting first-look pictures for Ted Season 2, Peacock has also revealed a brand-new poster for the new season. It features a family picture of Ted and John’s family, all of them decked out with the iconic red-and-white Santa hats and the most Ted-like caption:

"Deck the balls"

The new season is set to find Ted and John in their senior year in Boston, and they get up to a whole new set of misadventures. And even though the adventures that John and Ted get into are troublesome and put in jeopardy their chance at surviving high school, at the end of the day, they will always have each other’s backs. The official logline for the series says as much:

"Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship."

This season, MacFarlane is returning as the voice of Ted and the writer, director, co-showrunner, and executive producer for Season 2. He is joined by Brad Walsh and Paul Corrigan as the writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers.

Along with MacFarlane as Ted’s voice, Max Burkholder is returning as John, along with John’s parents Matty and Susan, played by Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach. The returning cast is joined by Giorgia Whigham as Blaire, John’s college-aged cousin.

Ted Season 2 is being produced by UCP, MRC, and Fuzzy Door, bringing Erica Huggins, Jason Clark, Alana Kleiman, and Aimee Carlson on as executive producers as well.
