Amazon Prime Video reveals the first look teaser for Spider-Noir
Amazon Prime recently unveiled the first-look photos and a teaser trailer for the upcoming show. The teaser smartly established the grim and unrelenting atmosphere of the noir thriller and introduced the titular hero in a fedora, glasses, and a formidable trench coat.
Audiences can expect to be enthralled by this blast-from-the-past portrayal of their favorite superhero—and they will have the privilege of watching the show in both black and white and in color.
The teaser begins with Spider-Man’s shadow looming large over a dirty, seething city. The voiceover explains that the city is past its prime and engulfed in crime, eagerly awaiting the arrival of a superhero. Toward the end of the teaser, it becomes clear that Nicolas Cage’s iteration of the superhero will step in to clean things up himself.
What's the latest buzz about the Amazon Prime Video series?
While promoting his latest film Surfer, Cage was asked about the status of the Spider-Noir series by ScreenRant. In response, Cage maintained that he was not at liberty to reveal any key details about the upcoming show. He remarked:
"They have, and I'm sorry for this answer [chuckles], but the studio has literally put like a five-inch acrylic cone of silence glass around me, and they won't let me say a word about it, which is really weird. But that's where they're at, they're keeping it so close to the vest.
The show will also feature an ensemble cast including Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Jack Huston, Abraham Popoola, and others.
