The Chair Company trailer and more

The trailer of The Chair Company begins with William Ronald Trosper calling National Business Solutions, saying,

''I witnessed a problem.''

When the woman on the other side of the call inquires further, he says,

''It was a big problem. There is a massive problem that could cause mass casualties.''

That particular problem is what sends Ron on a frenzy, as the trailer shows him going down the rabbit hole once he starts investigating. We see Ron getting promoted to being the Project Head for a project, and his family is proud of him, as we see his wife, Barb, give a sweet speech at a celebratory dinner. However, Ron has uncovered that something suspicious is going on at work, and despite all obstacles, Ron keeps investigating, even if it means breaking into places he definitely shouldn't be going to. He gets into confrontations, both physical and verbal, but for some reason, he keeps investigating.

While he thinks he is cautious about his investigation, a change in his demeanor is noticed by his supervisor, colleagues, and his wife. Moreover, we see his wife say straight to his face that she thinks he is hiding something. On the other hand, one of Ron's colleagues begins to think that something about Ron is dark, and his only response is what he believes, that he is,

''... uncovering a vast criminal conspiracy.''

The colleague also says that darkness is not all that Ron has; there's also light in him, and we see snippets of how much he loves and appreciates his family. We see that Ron wants to uncover the truth because he wants to do the right and good thing in a world that does so many bad things. Through justifying his obsession with the conspiracy, he gives us a look at his personal frustrations. The stakes get much higher when Ron gets an unknown message that says,

''No way out.''

Whether Ron will figure out a way or not will be determined when the show is released.

The Chair Company isn't the first show Robinson and Kanin have created together. The duo also created the Comedy Central show Detroiters (2017-2018), along with Joe Kelly and Sam Richardson. More recently, Robinson and Kanin have also created I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. Robinson has starred as the lead in both of these shows and will now star as the lead in The Chair Company.
