Found Season 2 ending explained: Dhan's past, Gabi's confession, and Sir's final fate revealed

NBC's popular procedural drama, Found Season 2, wrapped up with a nail-biting finale episode on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Found Season 2 Episode 22, titled Missing While Dying, tied up major plotlines, including Gabi Moseley's. Ahead of the season finale, it was revealed that Found was cancelled after two seasons by NBC, so the viewers had an idea that the story was coming to an end. While the major arc was resolved, the finale left some loose ends.

For the unversed, Found is based on the life of Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), a crisis manager and the founder of Mosely & Associates, and her team that finds missing people whose cases have been long forgotten or ignored by the law. A kidnapping victim herself, Gabi carefully curated her team with people who had been survivors of kidnapping at some point in their lives. Additionally, she locked up her kidnapper, Hugh Sir Evans, in a basement, who aids her with his knowledge to solve cases.

The synopsis of Found Season 2 Episode 22 reads,

"Someone from Dhan's past resurfaces, looking for their missing wife and triggering Dhan's trauma; M&A mobilizes to track down one of their own as Gabi barters with her life; Heather's actions lead to a bold declaration."

The mystery behind Dhan's kidnapping: Found Season 2 finale episode recap

Over the two seasons, the mystery behind most of the kidnappings of team members of the M&A was explored, except that of Dhan Rana, MIA, and a military veteran. Found Season 2 finale finally shed some light on Dhan's kidnapping.

In the finale episode, the team, upon FBI Agent Milen's request, was busy investigating the case of Desiree Bergin, the wife of Dhan's military buddy Mike Bergin. Initially, Dhan was skeptical about working on the case due to his disturbed past with Mike. In this episode, it was revealed that Dhan was taken into custody during a raid, and it was completely Mike's fault, as he messed up.

When Dhan saw that Mike had worked on himself and improved, he tried to save him during the investigation. The team soon discovered that Desiree, a cancer patient, was held captive by her estranged mother, who was trying to save her using her naturopathy knowledge. However, in the end, Dhan refused to shake hands with Mike, meaning he still hasn't forgiven his former military buddy.

The showdown- Gabi faces her past, and Lena uses Jamie as leverage

One of the major storylines of Found Season 2 was that of the missing case of Jamie Reed, Margaret's son. In the finale, Jamie was kidnapped once again, and this time by Lena Evan, Sir's deranged sibling and accomplice. Gabi tracks down Jamie and, in the process, tells Lena that she will confess that she is the mastermind behind Sir's wrongdoing.

Lena fails to understand Gabi's hidden motives and steps into the trap. But before Margaret and Gabi could jump in and save Jamie, he broke the ties and snatched Lena's gun. Gabi takes the gun and asks Lena to come clean. But before she can hurt Gabi, Lena is arrested and taken away by the police.

Jamie declares that he wants to restart his life on a fresh note, which inspires Gabi, who calls a press conference and admits that she had held Sir hostage for over nine months. Things look hopeful for Zeke and Lacey as they have coffee together.

Meanwhile, in the prison, Sir was brutally attacked, which led to a head injury. The finale left us with several cliffhangers. Even though the main culprits behind the kidnappings- Sir and his sister Lena are arrested, Sir's final fate and Jamie's DNA results remain unknown!
