Fox’s upcoming crime thriller Memory Of A Killer has added Daniel David Stewart and Peter Gadiot as series regulars. As reported by Deadline and Variety, both actors joined the main cast just before the show began production. With its midseason debut expected during the 2025–2026 broadcast cycle, the series is building a strong ensemble.
Both actors bring a wide range of experience from television, film, and the stage. Their casting marks a key development in the build-up to the series’ premiere and adds complexity to the central storyline of family, crime, and concealed identities.
Who is Daniel David Stewart, and what role will he play in Memory Of A Killer?
Daniel David Stewart joins Memory Of A Killer as Jeff, the husband of Maria, Angelo Ledda’s daughter. According to Deadline, Jeff is facing financial troubles and lacks motivation to pursue steady employment.
His relationship with his father-in-law, Angelo, is strained, and he is skeptical of Angelo's role in their lives. This becomes especially complicated since Maria is pregnant, and Angelo, a contract killer, is hiding his condition and profession from his family.
Stewart has worked across television, film, and stage. According to IMDb, he is known for playing Milo Minderbinder in the miniseries Catch-22. He also appeared in For All Mankind as Nick Corrado and made an appearance in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. His film credits include roles in Reacher, Red Right Hand, and The Fugitive.
On stage, Stewart has had significant roles. As noted on BroadwayWorld, he originated the role of Ernst in the Broadway revival of Spring Awakening and played Papí in The Band's Visit. His background includes both dramatic and musical theater.
Peter Gadiot joins the cast as a local detective
Peter Gadiot takes on the role of Dave, a police detective based in the small town of Hudson Springs. According to Deadline, Dave previously handled a car crash investigation involving Angelo’s wife.
This incident led to a friendship between Dave and Angelo, though Dave remains unaware of Angelo’s secret life as a hitman. Adding to the drama, Dave also has hidden feelings for Maria, who is married to Jeff.
Gadiot has built his acting career with numerous television roles. As per TV Guide and IMDb, he portrayed James Valdez in Queen of the South from 2016 to 2021. More recently, he appeared as Shanks in Netflix’s One Piece and played Adam Martin in Yellowjackets. He also featured in Quantum Leap as Tom Westfall and had earlier roles in Supergirl and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
In addition to his screen work, Gadiot has performed on stage. According to Wikiwand, he acted in The Taming of the Shrew in Washington, D.C., showing a range in both classical and modern drama formats.
Other confirmed cast members of Memory Of A Killer
Alongside Stewart and Gadiot, the series features a main cast led by Patrick Dempsey. As confirmed by Variety, Dempsey plays Angelo Ledda, a professional hitman hiding his early-onset Alzheimer’s from his family. The condition threatens to expose his double life.
Michael Imperioli plays Dutch, Angelo’s oldest friend and a fellow criminal. Richard Harmon joins as Joe, a younger hitman connected to Angelo and Dutch. Odeya Rush plays Maria, Angelo’s pregnant daughter and Jeff’s wife.
The new additions of Jeff and Dave add more complexity to the family dynamic. Jeff is directly tied to Angelo through marriage, while Dave’s role as a detective and friend to Angelo introduces tension from both legal and emotional angles.
