Malcolm in the Middle was a popular sitcom that aired on Fox for seven seasons from January 9, 2000, to May 14, 2006.

It followed Malcolm (played by Frankie Muniz), who was the third son of Lois (played by Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (played by Bryan Cranston). He also had three brothers, and the family welcomed another son later on in the show. Malcolm was a genius with an IQ of 165.

The show followed the adventures of Malcolm and his family and friends, as we see his dysfunctional family's issues unfold in a comic setting. The show ended back in 2006, but is returning for a special reboot event, Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, which will see the characters of the show 19 years after the original show ended. A teaser trailer for the reboot reveals that Malcolm has cut off all contact with his family for his own peace for years, but his parents' 40th wedding anniversary forces him to reunite with his family.

There's more chaos coming with Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston returning in Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair

The original show ended with Malcolm attending Harvard University, working as a janitor to pay his way through college. The teaser released for Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair reveals that after the events of the original show, Malcolm has been doing great, and he says that the primary reason behind that is that he stayed away from his family. Malcolm's mother, Lois, is evidently angry that Malcom has been intentionally ignoring them.
