This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman is the creator of Paradise, a high-stakes drama that blends emotional suffering, political tension, and sci-fi intrigue. Season 1 featured Xavier Collins as he looked into the murder of former US President Cal Bradford (played by James Marsden).

Collins resided in an isolated underground community built to withstand a worldwide calamity. By the end of season 1, Xavier had realized that the outside world was not as destroyed as he had thought and that his wife, who had been assumed dead, may still be alive. An intriguing concept for season 2 is born when he realizes this and boards an airplane to travel above ground to find the answers.

The upcoming season will be a critical middle chapter in a story that is expanding in scope and ambition, with Fogelman confirming a three-season plan.
