Basketball Wives Stars Ming Lee and Ty Young: Post-break-up interviews and statements

Ming Lee describes herself as a hustler, entrepreneur, and OG content creator. In the latest season of Basketball Wives, she opened up about her current situation. She shared how she took her company from the ground up to a multi-million dollar business, and also about her break-up with Ty.

"I built my company Snob Life, from the ground up, from selling hair bundles out the trunk of my car to now it's a multi-million dollar business. No Cap. I'm also the creative director for EAP Heat and recently moved from Atlanta to LA because I want to keep expanding my empire.

She added:

"Up until recently, I was dating retired WNBA player Ty Young, but she broke my heart."

In her May 11, 2025, exclusive interview with Baller Alert, Ming revealed that she and Ty haven't talked since their breakup.

As for Ty Young, during her May 13, 2025, appearance on 92QJamsBmore, she recalled how she was asked by many individuals about her relationship with Ming Lee.

She mentioned how there were questions regarding their relationship, breakup, and how events unfolded on the reality TV show. She talked about how, for her, the relationship was real, and everything that was featured on television was also real.

Ty Young noted that her relationship with Ming Lee lasted for nine months, but it didn't last long, as she had intended. She said that the events that took place, including their breakup, which were featured on Basketball Wives, were all "real."

"That was my real-life girlfriend," said Ty.

Sharing more about the time when she and Ming Lee were in a relationship, Ty added:

"Like if someone is my official girl, if I'm officially dating someone, I'm not hiding it."

For fans who may not be aware of the breakup, it was featured on Basketball Wives Season 12 Episode 5. Ming had "receipts" including Ty's phone calls and messages with Real Housewives star Drew Sidora.

But, as Ty stated, it was a "supportive" friendship, and nothing more. She said that she was supporting Drew during her difficult time, as she was going through the divorce. From Ming's point of view, she thought it was an "emotional" infidelity from Ty.

Ty responded that it was not an "infidelity" but a misunderstanding, which resulted in their breakup. Along with their fellow cast members, viewers also learned about Ming and Ty's breakup from the show.
