Gabriel Basso almost reveals The Night Agent Season 3 release date

The action-packed thriller made its debut in 2023, and fans were quick to find themselves wrapped in the mystery, leading to The Night Agent becoming the third-most-viewed series within just four days of its release, and soon it was renewed for a second and later a third season.
The second season was equally critically acclaimed, and fans have been awaiting the third season's release window reveal for quite some time now. The third season has been in production in Istanbul, Turkey, for most of 2025. It wasn't until mid-July that creator Shawn Ryan made an official announcement regarding the production of The Night Agent Season 3:
"New York, Washington, D.C., Turkey, Mexico, Dominican Republic… We hit them all. Season 3 of #TheNightAgent has officially wrapped production."
Since this announcement, fans of the show have been even more anticipatory for the release date. However, there have been no such updates. Gabriel Basso almost slipped recently when he revealed in a conversation with Variety that they have a release date for the third season.
The interviewer went on to ask him what the release date is, and he was about to reveal it when his publicist stepped in and saved the day, well, for him. All of us, on the other hand, would've really liked to know, and such was the interviewer's reaction to this goof:
"Why are you doing your job so well?" the interviewer joked
Nevertheless, according to reports from What's On Netflix, the streamer is aiming for an early 2026 release. This release window might even fall in the same window as the second season's release in 2024. Keeping in mind that this is just speculation at this point, there's no confirmation now.
What we do know for now is that, along with Gabriel Basso, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Albert Jones, and Ward Horton, they will be returning in The Night Agent Season 3 as series regulars. They will be joined by David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Genesis Rodriguez, Callum Vinson, and Suraj Sharma.
Shawn Ryan continues as the creator, executive producer, and showrunner for The Night Agent Season 3, along with MiddKid Productions, Exhibit A, and Project X.
