Amazon Prime Video's The Boys universe expanded with Gen V, a satirical superhero series that debuted with Season 1 in 2023. The Eric Kripke series is loosely based on The Boys comic book story arc We Gotta Go Now by Garth Ennis, John Higgins and Darick Robertson. The first season of the show is set before The Boys Season 4, while the recently debuted Season 2 is set after the events of Season 4 of the parent series.

Gen V follows a group of young superheroes who are put to the test at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. The up-and-coming superheroes test their powers and limits and fight for a spot in The Seven, Vought International's elite superhero team.

Jessie T. Usher (A-train), P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke), Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) reprised their The Boys characters in Season 1.

Here is the complete Gen V Season 1 cast and character guide.

1) Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau

Sinclair leads the Gen V Season 1 cast as Marie Moreau, an ambitious 18-year-old superhero with manipulation and blood-bending powers. She is hellbent on proving her worth in her freshman year at the elite Godolkin University by earning a spot in The Seven Supes. Jaz Sinclair is best known for her character as Rosalind in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Paper Towns.

2) Chance Perdomo as Andre Anderson

Andre is one of the most popular sophomore students at Godolkin, partly because of his strange powers to manipulate metal like his father, Polarity. While Andre carries the weight of his father's legacy, he decides to fight back when strange things start to occur on his campus. British actor Chance Perdomo played Andre in Gen V Season 1. In March 2024, Perdomo was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. His role was not recast in Season 2, out of respect for the late actor.

3) Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer / Little Cricket

Another freshman studying performing arts at Godolkin, Emma, is one of the most interesting characters in Gen V Season 1. She can shrink herself to a tiny size, which has earned her the nickname of Little Cricket. However, her powers also have certain limitations, which lead her into a downward spiral. Lizze Broadway has previously shown her acting talents in The Rookie and Here and Now.

4) London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li

Wondering how two actors play a single character in Gen V Season 1? This is because Jordan Li is a gender-shifter and one of the top-performing trainees at Brink’s Academy for crime fighters. Jordan is gifted with the power to alternate between two genders, with Thor playing the female part and Luh as Jordan's male counterpart.

London Thor is widely known for her character in Lady Bird, and Derek Luh is a budding actor, rapper, and singer who has previously appeared in Runaways.

5) Asa Germann as Samuel "Sam" Riordan

Sam is a young Supe with superhuman strength. While he is one of the most powerful Gen V characters, he faces trouble because of his dark past and also has hallucinations. These harrowing visions make it difficult for him to tell what is real and what is fake. Asa Germann is best known for playing Blonge Jogger in Netflix's Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and will also appear in the upcoming slasher film Scream 7.

6) Patrick Schwarzenegger as Luke “Golden Boy” Riordan

Junior Schwarzenegger plays Golden Boy in Gen V Season 1, a senior who holds a very promising chance to earn the first spot in The Seven. Golden Boy has superhuman strength and possesses the ability to engulf his body in flames, thus becoming a literal ball of fire.

Patrick Schwarzenegger became a breakout star after his role as Saxon Ratliff in Mike White's The White Lotus Season 3.
