Gen V Season 2 will be released on September 17, 2025, and the upcoming season has a lot to unpack. Spin-off of The Boys, the follows the chaotic life of gifted young supes at Godolkin University as they uncover dark secrets behind their training and powers. With Gen V season 2 coming out, fans are hoping the new episodes will tie up some major loose ends.

Season 1 ended with a major cliffhanger, and there are 5 questions that Gen V season 2 must address to provide creative closure to fans.

5 questions that Gen V Season 2 must address

The trailer and teaser trailer for Gen V season two confirmed that Marie, Emma, and Jordan are back at Godolkin, but we aren't told what exactly happened to them. Besides, Andre was not recast despite the unfortunate death of Chance Perdomo in 2024, who played the character.

Much has happened in the time gap between season one’s ending and season two. There are five questions that Gen V Season 2 must address about that time period and much more. They are as follows:

What happened to Marie, Emma, Jordan, and Andre in Elmira?

The finale of the first season left Marie, Emma, Jordan, and Andre locked inside an unfamiliar, sterile facility with no exits. Viewers were left wondering where exactly they were, and who put them there. The trailer for season two revealed the place to be Elmira, with a scene of Marie getting tortured. We were also told that Dean Cipher, who is the new Dean at Godolkin, was also at Elmira.

The facility looked high-tech and secure, but there had been no hint of what its true purpose was. Gen V Season 2 needs to clarify why the young supes were kept there, who kept them hostage, and why Dean Cipher was there.

What will happen at Godolkin after Cate and Sam’s violent attack?

Cate and Sam’s brutal attack on Godolkin University left many dead and the campus in chaos. Yet, by the end, they are being celebrated as saviors, named the new “Guardians of Godolkin.”

Gen V Season 2 needs to answer why Vought is presenting them as heroes after such a massacre. It could be because they are trying to spin public opinion in favor of violent, pro-supes figures. We don't know yet. The upcoming season should explore how the university and its students are processing this trauma, and whether anyone will stand up to the dangerous lies being fed to the public.

Is Emma on the verge of discovering a new way to use her powers?

Emma’s abilities have always been tied to her eating habits. She had to purge to shrink and overeat to grow, a painful and harmful price to pay just to be able to use her power. But during the finale, something changed.

After a difficult confrontation with Sam, Emma managed to shrink without forcing herself to throw up. This moment suggests her powers might also be tied to her emotions or self-image.

This twist could mean Emma is learning a new and healthier way to control her size, which would be much less damaging. Gen V Season 2 needs to follow up on this and allow Emma to truly control her power in a newer way.

What does Victoria Neuman plan to do with the supe-killing virus?

Victoria Neuman, known for her deadly head-popping ability, now has the only existing sample of the virus made to kill supes. After killing Dr. Cardosa, she walked away with the formula in hand. But her motives remain unclear. We don't know if she plans to destroy it or use it to control rogue supes — she might even develop an antidote to protect herself.

Since she is a supe as well, using the virus is a dangerous move, but Victoria has proven she is willing to take big risks. Gen V season 2 must explore what she really plans to do with this powerful virus.

What happened to Andre?

Prime Video was immensely respectful when it came to shaping Andre's character for season two. Since Chance Perdomo passed away in 2024, it was expected that Andre would be recast. But he wasn't.

In Gen V Season 2's trailer, Andre is absent, and we are told that while Marie, Emma, and Jordan returned, Andre did not. We also see his father, Polarity, livid about his son's disappearance.

Season 2 not only has to address what happened to the young supes when they were taken away, but also why Andre didn't return. Audiences know that a huge reason is the actor's demise. But Andre's disappearance from the show has to actually make sense to the plot and add something to the story rather than just be an unfortunate reality. Hopefully, season two will answer what happened to him as well.

Gen V season 2 has a lot of answers to provide. With the events of the first season leaving characters in dangerous and uncertain places, fans are eager for answers. These 5 questions that Gen V Season 2 must address are key to pushing the story forward and giving long-time viewers the closure they deserve.
