Ghosts fans, be prepared to have a little fun change of direction, a recognizable face will be returning to Woodstone, just in time to enjoy Thanksgiving. Ghosts Season 5 new photos and information confirm that we will see back the sweet and slightly awkward ghost-seer, Kyle, portrayed by Ben Feldman.

Kyle returns in an episode devoted to Thanksgiving that involves a road trip. There, in the photos, he is hanging with the Woodstone spirits and this has fans already anticipating. It appears to be another ideal combination of emotional moments, stupid upheavals, and even a hint of the supernatural things, which make Ghosts so special.

You may or may not recall that Kyle had a humorous flirting way with Sam, or simply like his dry humor, but to see him back is a special treat to those who like watching the living and the dead intersect in the most unlikely places.

Kyle’s comeback in Ghosts Season 5

Kyle's coming back is not a mere incidental moment, on the contrary, it appears to have a point. He was announced in Ghosts Season 4 as one more individual who could see ghosts and this situation made Sam and the rest of the Woodstone gang even more interesting. With Ben Feldman back now, the show seems prepared to give it that fun outsider feel once again.

This time around, however, it is more than a visit, as in the new photos we see Kyle not only sitting at the kitchen table, but he is there with Alberta, Hetty, Isaac, and others, meaning that he is not merely a quick cameo but is, in fact, part of the main story. This arrangement frequently causes comic scenes as to what it is like to be the only living person in the world of ghosts of other centuries.

It also provides an opportunity for the group to accommodate and establish new types of humor and warmth in the group to which Kyle can fit. That comic touch with emotion is popular among fans and his comeback must be intended to bring both.

The episode setup

The Thanksgiving episode in Ghosts Season 5 is all about travel chaos and holiday humor. It's a mix of a road trip gone wrong and a funny family mess. It follows Sam and Pete as they head out on a book-tour road trip, but things quickly get tricky when an airline strike threatens to keep them from getting home for Thanksgiving.

Back at the mansion, the ghosts are not impressed with Jay's babysitting skills, so in comes Kyle, the "better babysitter." That is where the fun really begins. The episode then fluctuates between Sam and Pete's travel problems and the ghosts' wild plans back home, building up to holiday chaos in two very different, humorous storylines.

It's going to be the perfect setup for some classic Ghosts humor, full of mix-ups and heart, with the kind of weird, warm family energy that makes the show so special, as Kyle can suddenly interact with the ghosts and Sam and Pete are stuck dealing with travel disasters.

Why fans are hyped

It makes the fans excited due to a few simple reasons: nostalgia, excellent chemistry, and the ability of the show to make even the small returns of a character special. The sight of the haunted house was viewed differently from the original narrative of Kyle and he was a personality one could not easily forget, because of both his hapless and lovable qualities. Therefore, his comeback is like a warm welcome from an old friend.

However, his return is not only a fan service but may also lead to new story twists. Kyle could create tension between the living and the ghosts, bring up new friends (and even lovers), or simply introduce some additional comedy to the episode. The recent photographs of him included with the lead actors indicate that he will be involved in the story and not a one-day appearance.

And because it is a holiday episode, the fans will be able to anticipate even more heart. Holiday specials are popular, and having a well-known face such as Kyle of course, makes the episode even more entertaining and emotional.
