American actor Sean Gunn played the role of Kirk Gleason in The WB's Gilmore Girls. Kirk is Lorelai's friend and one of the most eccentric and childish characters on the show.
Sean Gunn is a popular American filmmaker, James Gunn's brother, and has starred in many of DC's shows and movies. While he debuted as a different character in the WB series, Gunn eventually played Kirk on the show.
He also reprised his character in the spin-off miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Gunn's Kirk is easily one of the most memorable supporting characters from the show's universe.

Sean Gunn started his acting career with the 1996 American independent B movie Tromeo and Juliet, written by his brother James Gunn.
In 2000, Gunn debuted in Gilmore Girls, where he initially played the character of Mick, a DSL cable installer. However, later, he appeared in the character of Kirk Gleason and was made a permanent resident of Stars Hollow and a recurring character on the show.
After the WB show, Gunn appeared in many guest appearances in shows like Angel, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Bunheads and Andy Richter Controls the Universe.
In 2014, he debuted as Kraglin, Yondu Udonta's second-in-command, in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. He has also reprised this character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Sean Gunn has also played the character of Weasel in The Suicide Squad and Creature Commandos.
In addition to his notable film roles, Gunn has also appeared in many TV shows, including Going to California, October Road, H+, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Peacemaker.

Who is Kirk Gleason in Gilmore Girls?
Kirk Gleason was one of the most eccentric characters on the show, who often took odd jobs. A sweet, naive and innocent man, Kirk looked up to Luke Danes as an older brother figure, who motivated him to move out of his mother's basement and live his life independently.
Despite being of a similar age to Lorelai, Kirk was still living with his mother when the show began. However, after he changed many career paths, he moved out and started living on Luke's motorboat. He briefly stayed with a weird Stars Hollow family, before he finally moved in with Lorelai at Crap Shack.
Initially, Kirk also asks Lorelai on a date, but after she refuses, they remain best friends and she even helps him get dressed for a date with Lulu.
Kirk eventually found stability and love in Gilmore Girls after he started a relationship with Lulu. They remain a couple until the show concludes and in A Year in the Life, it was hinted that they are in talks to start their own family and have a baby.
