Ginny & Georgia made its much-awaited return on Netflix recently with its third season. Ever since its premiere in 2021, the comedy drama has remained one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform.
However, the long gaps between its consecutive seasons have often bugged the audience, as the show has so far followed a biennial release schedule. But that might change soon as the filming for Ginny & Georgia Season 4 is commencing sooner than expected.
In a recent interview with Collider, actress Brianne Howey, who plays Georgia Miller, has revealed that the cast and crew are returning to the sets later in 2025 to film the upcoming fourth season.
Brianne Howey confirms Ginny & Georgia Season 4 will begin filming by the end of 2025
During the interview, Brianne Howey confirmed that Ginny & Georgia Season 4 will begin production in the latter part of 2025. She said:
"For when we go back to start working on it? It'll be later this year."
The production schedule is a welcome change from the filming timelines of the previous seasons. For instance, the second season premiered in January 2023, but the third installment did not start filming until over a year later in April 2024.
With an early filming of Season 4, the show might just get rid of its biennial release schedule, and Ginny & Georgia Season 4 might premiere by the end of 2026. The move is also attributed to the showβs early renewal by Netflix. The streaming platform renewed the series for a third and fourth season simultaneously in May 2023.
The writersβ room for the upcoming chapter began in February 2025, over three months before Season 3βs debut. Brianne Howey talked about how the timely renewal helped her as an actress and said:
"It's such a privilege, and it's not a situation I've ever been in before. It was so thrilling. You can almost relax a little bit in knowing we have more story to tell. You get to trust the process a little bit more because you know what certain payoffs are going to be."
The next season will focus on the aftermath of Georgiaβs pregnancy. Though she will be embracing motherhood again, she does not know who the father of the child is.
Meanwhile, Ginny and Austin have to deal with some major problems after helping cover up a murder to protect their mom. Zion could also shake things up as he is filing for joint custody and going on a summer trip to South Korea with Ginny. Apart from Brianne Howey, the show stars Antonia Gentry as Virginia "Ginny" Mille.
The cast also includes Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Nathan Mitchell as Zion Miller, Chelsea Clark as Norah, Raymond Ablack as Joe, Katie Douglas as Abby, Scott Porter as Mayor Paul Randolph, Sara Waisglass as Maxine "Max" Baker, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, and Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker.
Ginny & Georgia Seasons 1 to 3 are streaming on Netflix.
