Fox's sitcom Going Dutch Season 2 has added Leanne star Kristen Johnston in an important recurring role as General Martin. She will be seen opposite Denis Leary's Colonel Patrick Quinn in the sophomore season of this Joel Church-Cooper created comedy series.
Going Dutch, which premiered in January 2025, was renewed for a second season on Fox in May 2025. In addition to the series' protagonist, Denis Leary, the sitcom also stars Taylor Misiak as Patrick's estranged daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn. The additional star cast includes Danny Pudi, Laci Mosley, and Hal Cumpston.
Catherine Tate, Joe Morton, and Milana Vayntrub guest-starred in the comedy series, but it is not confirmed whether they will return for Going Dutch Season 2.

Going Dutch Season 2 casts Kristen Johnston
Actress Kristen Johnston will join the chaotic father-daughter duo at Garrison Stroopsdorf as General Martin. According to her character description by Deadline, Martin is one of the highest-ranking combat generals in NATO, and she will be confident and in command character in Going Dutch Season 2. Additionally, Maggie will specially call her to Stroopsdorf to pitch herself as her mentee.
However, General Martin's command and confidence will stun Colonel Patrick, and sparks will fly between them. Since Martin is practically Maggie's idol and her father will develop an immediate attraction towards her, Martin is sure to add more chaos to the father-daughter relationship. Kristen Johnston's character will add a much-needed romantic angle for Patrick, while making the Going Dutch Season 2 narrative even more chaotic and hilarious.
Kristen Johnston is best known for her role as Sally Solomon on NBC’s 3rd Rock From The Sun, which also won her two Emmy Awards. She has also co-starred in Chuck Lorre's Mom and recently collaborated with Lorre again, for his Netflix comedy series Leanne, starring comedian Leanne Morgan.

What is Going Dutch about?
Going Dutch Season 2 will see the return of Colonel Patrick Quinn, a high-ranking US Army officer. The first season followed Col. Patrick after he was assigned to Garrison Stroopsdorf because of his offensive rant. This military base in the Netherlands is dubbed the "least important Army base in the world".
Patrick reaches his newly assigned base only to realise that Stroopsdorf has no strategic purpose or weapons, but is rather famous for its luxury resort-type amenities. Col. Patrick determines to round up his team of misfit officers and bring discipline and professionalism to the chaotic base. Additionally, Patrick learns that he has to work with the base's former leader, Captain Maggie, who happens to be his estranged daughter.
Going Dutch Season 2 will continue to follow Col. Patrick's efforts as he struggles to make the best out of his newly assigned base, while mending his relationship with his daughter. However, Johnston's General Martin will likely become a huge distraction for Patrick, creating more chaos and mayhem in Going Dutch Season 2.
