"Going to go with Jackie": Match Game contestant Michael advances to Celebrity head-to-head match

Match Game Season 6 Episode 3 aired on August 6, 2025. The latest episode of the game show featured two players: Katie and Michael Pez

Hosted by Martin Short, the episode featured Ego Nwodim, Jackie Tohn, Andrea Martin, Thomas Lennon, Pete Holmes, and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog in the panel.

In the latter part of the game, after Michael won $5,000 after choosing Jackie, he advanced to the Celebrity head-to-head match. For that, he was supposed to choose one celebrity with whom his answer should match. That would win him $25,000.

When the Match Game host, Marty Short, asked Michael, his answer was:

"I'm going to go with Jackie."

Match Game Season 6 Episode 3: Michael Pez wins $25,000 in the Celebrity head-to-head match after his and Jackie's answer matched

Show host Marty welcomed the two players, Michael and Katie. After their introduction, they started the game. Marty told the players about the first round and shared instructions:

"Each of you get two questions to try to match as many of our six stars as possible. Whoever matches more goes to play supermatch for a chance to win $25,000."

After a series of questions, Michael advanced to Super Match. With a chance to win $25,000, Michael's first question was:

"Teddy _____"

Upon guessing the third most popular answer, Michael would win $2,000, the second most popular answer would win him $3,000, and the most popular answer would earn Michael $5,000.

"And to help with suggestions, you're going to list the aid of three of our celebrities. Who do you want to pick first?" asked the host.

Michael chose Jackie. Her answer was Teddy Bear. Michael's second choice was Tom, whose answer was Teddy Roosevelt. His third celebrity choice was Andrea, who answered, Teddy Grahams.

Further on Match Game, the host asked Michael which of the answers he was going to go with. There was also a chance that he could give his answer, and not any of the celebrities' answers. Michael chose to go with Teddy Bear, which was Jackie's answer.

Marty revealed the answers:

• Third most popular: Teddy Swims,
• Second most popular: Teddy Roosevelt,
• Most popular: Teddy Bear.

Seeing how Michael chose Jackie's answer, and that led him to winning $5,000, she came down to greet him. As they hugged each other, they talked about their outfits.

With the correct answer, Marty announced that Michael was moving to the next stage. For that, Michael's answer should match one of the five celebrities. He would then win $25,000. Again, Michael chose Jackie.

The question was:

"_____ Pit."

For that, the Match Game host told Jackie to write down her answer, while Michael stood facing the host. Before Jackie wrote her answer, fellow panelists talked to Jackie. Ego said she had a feeling that it was going to go "poorly."

Marty thanked her for "positive energy." Michael's answer was Arm Pit. Later, when Jackie revealed her answer card, she had also written Arm.

"We said arm," Jackie screamed.

Everybody cheered for Michael as he had won $25,000 with that answer.
