"Guess who got engaged": The Valley star Jax discusses Kristen's engagement with Tom Schwartz

The Valley, Season 2 Episode 13 aired on July 8, 2025. The latest episode of the Bravo show, titled 'The Cruise From Hell,' featured various events featuring multiple cast members.

There was a conversation between Brittany and Zack in which he confronted her about her tendency to fall into old patterns with Jax. Another conversation was between Jax Taylor and Tom Schwartz.

While talking to Tom, Jax revealed that Luke Broderick and Kristen Doute were engaged. Later, he realized that he might not have been the one to reveal the news. In conversation with his friend Tom, Jax couldn't contain his excitement and asked him:

"Guess who got engaged?"

The recent episode of The Valley Season 2 saw Jax unpacking his stuff from boxes at his condo in North Hollywood. He heard somebody coming in. It was Tom Schwartz, Jax and Brittany's friend. As Tom entered, he said the door was open:

"It's always open for you," replied Jax Taylor.

Tom brought lunch and asked him to guess what he had brought:

"That's the official meal of somebody who's getting divorced," said Jax.

Tom responded that Jax was a "sad" man. Jax asked Tom to guess who got engaged.

When he was curious, Jax revealed:

"Dodie. Dodie and Luke got engaged."

Tom was surprised after learning about Luke Broderick and Kristen Doute. In the previous episode of the Bravo show, fans witnessed a surprise sunset proposal from Luke. His reaction to Luke and Kristen's engagement was:

"Miss always the bridesmaid, never the bride?"

He said he was "really happy" for her. When he told Jax to text her, he denied it. The Valley star said that he wasn't sure if Tom was "allowed" to know about the engagement news. Seeing how Kristen had not yet revealed the news on social media or anywhere, Tom said he wouldn't say anything about it:

"I don't wanna be the one that told you because I'm already you know me. I got a big mouth," said Jax.

Jax Taylor confessed to the cameras about how he has never been able to keep a secret. He has been working on it, but has not been able to keep it. The episode then featured a few video clips from years back. There were incidents involving Jax, where he struggled to keep a secret. One of them also featured Brittany.

On the other hand, The Valley star Brittany had a chat with Zack about her "falling back" into her old patterns.
