"Had me baffled" – Love After Lockup fans react to Julius asking Alexis to pick up more shifts while he is jobless

Alexis and Julius have been having relationship problems since they started on Love After Lockup this season. However, everything was dialed up a notch during this week's episode.

It has been confirmed that Alexis is pregnant with Julius' baby. But the biggest roadblock is that she has to keep spying on him and just last week, found out that he was hanging out with some unknown women when he said he would meet up with his friends.

Julius revealed that he was meeting up with them because he wanted them to star in his rap video. Now that they were at home and eating breakfast, Alexis finally told Julius that she was pregnant. His first reaction is being overwhelmed and shocked, and she feels as if he is not happy about the news.

Later, when the two are finally on board with their upcoming child together, Alexis asks Julius to get a job. However, Julius denies and asks her to pick up more hours instead.

This felt crazy to Love After Lockup fans who are seeing Alexis work two full-time jobs while studying for nursing school. Taking to X to voice their opinions, a fan tweeted,

"The love after lockup scene when Alexis tells Julius she pregnant and that he need to get a job. He gone say “I don’t need no job, you go pick some hours up”…. Had me baffled. You girls settle for anything, I don’t want it that bad!!! Are you kidding me? Disgusting."

"Julius from love after lockup pisses me off 😭😩 just go get a job damn on god I can’t stand no broke ass 'man'," said a fan.

"Every time I watch clips of Alexis and Julius from Love After Lockup, I’m so intrigued by the fact sis wasn’t running to the clinic. Having a baby by a man who was in jail since he was a teenager?? AND he told your pregnant ass to pick up more shifts while he’s jobless??" read a tweet.

"Alexis….had no business pushing for pregnancy when this man told her to her face he not getting a job and she need to “pick up more hours” after she explained she not able to pay bills. While he living in her house and driving her car. I don’t feel bad," a person wrote.

"The smartest thing Alexis can do if she decides to keep this child is to move without a forwarding address. Julius wont get a job. Which means he wont be in the system. If he knows where you are. He'll be a drop in and out guy to use you. Thats all," a fan commented.

Love After Lockup - Alexis tells Julius that she is pregnant

Alexis and Julius sit down to have breakfast at her home on Love After Lockup. This is when she shows him the pregnancy tests that say she is pregnant. Julius is not immediately happy.

In his confession, he says that he is not ready to be a father just yet, since it has only been a little time since he got out of prison. He is not happy about the pile of responsibility that will be dropped on him to deal with.

As for Alexis, who is hormonal right now, breaks down crying because she feels that Julius does not want the baby with her. Despite what he said in his confession, he goes over to comfort her and says that he is happy to be having a kid.

As they settle down again, Alexis asks Julius to pick up a job because she won't be able to support a baby on her income alone. Julius is shocked at this and says he does not need any job, and if she wants, Alexis can pick up more hours.

He says he is focusing on his rap career and then asked Alexis about what she has ever done for him.

She says she had put a roof over his head and takes care of him, and provides him with food and money. But that does not seem like a lot to Julius, who soon gets kicked out by a very emotional Alexis.
