The recently released 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9 Episode 17 featured Gino's conversation with his divorce lawyer, Robert.
The lawyer told Gino about being the father of the child, even though he was not. It was because he was still legally married to Jasmine.
"That's going to...child support alone is going to be hundreds of thousands of dollars that you're gonna be paying for the baby that you said is not yours. I wouldn't take hundreds of thousands of dollars' risk, and that's not a game I would play. I think that's something that you need to take care of," explained the lawyer.
Gino was shocked to learn that. He noted that it was not his child. Robert told him that under Michigan law, it would be presumed that he was the father. It was because he was still married.
However, he noted that there were ways to get around that. It included DNS, paternity tests, and more. The lawyer also noted that there were time limits on going forward with these procedures.
"We need to do this within 3 years of birth," shared Robert.
In his private confession, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Gino noted that he thought Jasmine being pregnant would help his divorce case. But it didn't work out the way he was thinking. He told his lawyer that it was ridiculous. Gino mentioned that Jasmine "really messed up" his life.
Gino opened up to his lawyer and noted that it was supposed to be Jasmine and him who were going to have a baby.
Further in their conversation, Robert, the lawyer, told Gino about the divorce proceedings. He shared that, individuals who did not have kids, their divorce process would take about 60 days.
"However, just given what you just told me, since there's a minor child involved, the state trial waiting period is now 180 days or 6 months. So the time with the filing is gonna take is minimum 6 months to get divorced," added the lawyer.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star confessed that he wasn't ready. He also shared two reasons behind that. He talked about his investments and that he was waiting for the market to drop. The second reason was Jasmine being an immigrant. Gino talked about wanting to hold Jasmine accountable for the betrayal.
