The Duke of Hastings is making his grand return to his Netflix home turf as Regé-Jean Page will star in the platform's upcoming erotic thriller series Hancock Park. The Bridgerton star will also serve as an executive producer through his A Mighty Stranger banner on the series, which is currently under development on Netflix.

Hancock Park is brought to you by Drew Comins' Creative Engine (Yellowjackets) & Fifth Season and will be written by seasoned writer Matthew Barry (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Industry).

Like many recent projects, Netflix was the first platform to win a bidding war for the project against three other major platforms. After bagging this impressive title starring Regé-Jean Page, the streamer has accelerated its development with a script-to-series commitment.

More on this in our story.

Hancock Park: Regé-Jean Page to star in Netflix's upcoming erotic thriller series

Hancock Park is named after the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood, which also serves as the setting of the show. Regé-Jean Page will play a charming but dangerous outsider who infiltrates the titular LA neighborhood and exposes its people's deepest desires and deceits.

According to Variety, the official synopsis for the show reads as follows:

“A dangerously charismatic outsider (Page), who invades the lives of a seemingly picture-perfect Los Angeles family — when he rents their backyard guest house. But as he dives further into their world, the façade of this elite community begins to crumble, and he exposes the desire, deceit, and obsession that lurks around every corner of one of LA’s most-coveted neighborhoods.”

In addition to Page, his A Mighty Stranger banner producing partner Emily Brown, writer Barry and Comins will also serve as executive producers on Hancock Park.

Hancock Park will mark Regé-Jean Page's return to Netflix

The British actor catapulted to Global fame in 2020 with his debut as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in Netflix's regency period romance series Bridgerton. Page was paired opposite Phoebe Dynevor's Daphne Bridgerton in Season 1, which adapted Julia Quinn's book The Duke and I. While the fans and critics praised Page and Dynevor's sizzling on-screen chemistry, the former did not return for the subsequent seasons, much to fans' disappointment.

However, Bridgerton marked a career-defining moment for Regé-Jean Page and the actor is returning to Netflix with Hancock Park. After this hit Netflix title, Page also starred in Anthony Russo and Joe Russo's 2022 action thriller movie The Gray Man, alongside Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling. Like Bridgerton, the movie also entered Netflix's Top 10 charts, further cementing Page's career in the industry.

Recently, the Hancock Park leading man has appeared in Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley's 2023 fantasy heist comedy movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, alongside Chris Pine, Hugh Grant & Michelle Rodriguez and Steven Soderbergh's 2025 spy thriller movie Black Bag, alongside Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett.

With this thriller series, Regé-Jean Page is all set to charm his fans in another new and exciting role. Since the production on the series is still underway, more plot and cast details will likely follow soon.
