As per a report by Variety, Handsome Devil: Charming Killer is already in production. The series will comprise three episodes, which are expected to arrive on Paramount+ in early 2026. Brian Ross is writing and directing the project.

The production companies include Law & Crime Productions and See It Now Studios. Talking about the docuseries, Susan Zirinsky, the president of See It Now Studios, released a statement and said:

“Handsome Devil reveals a dangerous obsession and infatuation with a convicted, brutal killer in the digital age. The docuseries explores the intersection between true crime and internet culture, with unnerving and shocking accounts from those who professed their love, as well as those who fought for justice.”

What is Handsome Devil: Charming Killer about?

Wade Wilson is one of the most-talked-about serial killers on social media. People became obsessed with him due to his name, which resembles a Marvel superhero, and also because of his face tattoos.

Wilson had a troubled childhood as he was born to teenage parents and was later adopted. He got involved in criminal activities and substance abuse at a young age, and also suffered four head injuries. By 2012, he had a long list of charges to his name, including burglary, theft, and firearm offenses. This made him go to prison multiple times.

His crimes took a darker turn in October 2019 when he killed two women, Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz, in Cape Coral, Florida. Both murders were committed within hours of each other. Melton was found strangled at her home, while Ruiz was lured into Melton’s car before being attacked and run over.

Wilson was arrested after he confessed to the murders to his father. His trial drew widespread public attention. The judge ultimately sentenced him to two death sentences in 2024. He currently remains locked at Union Correctional Institution in Florida and awaits the death penalty.
