Harry Potter: Here's a sneak peek at Harry, Ron, Neville & Draco's first look wearing their Hogwarts uniform for the upcoming HBO series

The Harry Potter series consists of seven fantasy novels. All these are written by British author J.K. Rowling. The novels follow young wizard Harry Potter and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. This is mainly done as they enroll in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The main plot is around Harry's battle against Lord Voldemort. He is the evil wizard of the show. He aspires to become immortal and rule over both magical and non-magical people and the famous show explores themes. These include courage, discrimination, love, and friendship and since their initial release in 1997, the novels have sold over 600 million copies worldwide and they had an impact on spin-offs, plays, films, and theme parks.

HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series may provide the first look at Harry, Ron, Neville, and Draco in their modified reddish-brown Hogwarts robes. Important sequences, such as Harry's first flying lesson, are now being filmed. The program, which premiered in 2027 and tries to accurately adapt all seven works for television, has a mix of young, inexperienced actors and seasoned veterans.

A new HBO series will bring the Harry Potter universe to television and some of the principal characters may now be seen by fans for the first time wearing their Hogwarts uniforms and Lox Pratt plays Draco Malfoy, Rory Wilmot plays Neville Longbottom, Alastair Stout plays Ron Weasley, and Dominic McLaughlin plays Harry Potter in the set images.

The Hogwarts robes are one obvious difference. The clothing in this series is reddish-brown, as opposed to the black robes of the original movie. Though they have been altered for the TV show, they still have the appearance of magical school robes. The images show the young actors as first-year Hogwarts students.

Important sequences from the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, are being filmed for the series, where Harry is shown learning to fly on a broomstick. This is one of the first scenes, and at this point, he goes for Draco, who has stolen Neville's Remembrall and the sequence shows Draco as a rival and establishes Harry's ability to fly and this unique scene also features Louise Brealey. He plays the flying teacher Madam Hooch.

Both new and well-known actors appear in the series and Dumbledore is portrayed by John Lithgow, Professor McGonagall by Janet McTeer, Hagrid by Nick Frost, and Professor Snape by Paapa Essiedu.

Filming started in July 2025 and will continue until 2026. The series will cover all seven Harry Potter books with one season each and will premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2027. This long-form series will allow for more details from the novels to be shown on television.

Fans are excited to see the Hogwarts uniforms and the first scenes with the main characters. The new series will provide a fresh viewpoint while staying true to the story that millions of people appreciate. It will allow both long-time fans and new viewers to experience Harry Potter in a fresh way.
