An entire decade since Mad Men wrapped up its run, and it continues to have an unforgettable hold over its fans. Now, these fans can enjoy the 16-time Emmy-winning series in sense-enhancing 4K from the comfort of their homes on HBO Max.
The seven-season series starring Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss as Donald Draper and Peggy Olson is finally making its way to streaming in 4K and will be available on HBO Max from December 1, 2025.

HBO Max announces Mad Men in 4K as part of the lineup for premium subscribers
Set in 1960s New York, the iconic series created by Matthew Weiner followed one of NYC's most prestigious advertising companies and the biggest ad man in the company, Jon Hamm's Don Draper. The show
"explores the glamorous and ego-driven “Golden Age” of advertising, where everyone is selling something and nothing is ever what it seems. And no one plays the game better than Don Draper, Madison Avenue’s biggest ad man – and ladies’ man – in the business."
The series has been available to stream on AMC+ since 2020 and will continue to be, but HBO Max offers viewers a much fresher and enhanced experience of streaming the show in 4K.
The four consecutive Best Drama Emmy-winning show, Mad Men, was a dramatic look at the glamorous, booming advertising industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Jim Packer, President of Worldwide Television Distributor at Lionsgate, commented on this addition to the HBO Max catalogue, referring to it as the best "home" for the show:
"Mad Men continues to show truly remarkable staying power with audiences a full decade after concluding its network run, and we couldn’t imagine a better home for it than HBO Max. Apart from Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss, the show also features an award-winning cast with Vincent Kartheiser, January Jones, Christina Hendricks, Aaron Staton, Rich Sommer, Jessica Pare, Kiernan Shipka, and John Slattery.

The show continues to be one of the most acclaimed television shows and will be available for streaming in 4K if you own a premium subscription to HBO Max. The premium subscription, as of October 2025, costs $22.99 a month or $229.99 a year and includes features such as ad-free streaming, 4K Ultra HD quality, a feature that allows the user to download content, and select live sports.
