"He goes hunting": Farmer Wants a Wife star Claire reflects on not being a vegetarian anymore

Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 finale premiered on May 22, 2025. Viewers witnessed farmer John Sansone choosing Claire as his partner. Since being together, the duo opened up about how their lives have changed.

John and Claire, during their May 24, 2025, interview with People magazine, talked about how she has been a vegetarian. But after being on the farm with John, where he goes "hunting," she has not become a non-vegetarian.

They also talked about their future plans, engagement, and more during the interview.

"It's kind of funny because we talk about how different we are on the show, and one of the big things is I grew up vegetarian and he goes hunting," said Claire.

Farmer Wants a Wife's John and Claire reveal about the changes in their lives since being together

John Sansone, 25, a farmer from the Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3, chose to be with Claire. Since being together, the duo has been navigating through the differences in their lives. Sharing more about that, John revealed that Claire is no longer a vegetarian.

Agreeing to that, Claire stated that she grew up as a vegetarian. Living in Nashville for a "while", Claire mentioned that it was a bit more difficult for her. The reason was people there love "hot chicken" and it was then, when she started a "little bit."

However, she also mentioned that there are chances that after her mom would know about that, she might go back to being a vegetarian.

When John revealed her secret, Claire told the cameras that her mom would be watching it.

"Maybe I'll go back once my mom sees this, I don't know," said Claire.

Opening up more about understanding each other, and the differences they might find in each other, Claire said that it hasn't been an issue for them.

"I think we did a good job of being really true to ourselves on the show, and we have done our best not to change that. I don't think we've changed drastically at all. So we just celebrate our differences and learn from each other," added Claire.

On the other hand, Farmer Wants a Wife's John said that their communication was one of the "strongest" parts of their relationship.

In fact, he stated that it was the thing that helped him and Claire while navigating through their differences.

John recalled that they were able to have "normal" and "cool-headed" conversations. As a result, they both have learned about each other. Reflecting on their journey, Claire said that John was "light-hearted" and was able to keep things "fun," while she was "anxious."
