Fans of Bachelor in Paradise are familiar with Dale Moss from The Bachelorette as Clare Crawley's ex-fiancé, but it turns out that his love decisions continue to provoke discussion today. Wells Adams, a franchise fixture and bartender on the show, recently offered his opinions on Dale's purported connection to Kat Izzo.

Wells compared Kat and Clare, pointing out a clear parallel between Dale's previous and current interests. Wells said during an exclusive interview with US Weekly,

"I think he deserves a really good shot at this. His initial, like, foyer into The Bachelor world was weird. It was much different than anybody, anybody else’s. Now what’s funny is that Clare was … fun and Kat’s fun. So he might have a little bit of a type."

Although Dale and Kat's relationship hasn't been confirmed, it's the talk of fan pages and Bachelor Nation forums. Many, including Adams, say both women have a strong presence, are gregarious, and have a certain affinity to Dale.

Dale and Kat's beachfront chemistry surprised some fans, but Wells clarified that this wasn't totally surprising.

Wells joked, summing up the predictability of it all.

"You’re surprised that the hottest person on the beach found the other hottest person on the beach and decided to make out together? No one has ever seen this happen!"

Wells noted that despite the comedy, Kat and Clare had some similar traits, such as being vivacious and unrestrained. Dale's obvious type favors women who stand out on an emotional and social level, so it's not just about appearances or charisma.

Noticing familiar emotional patterns

In addition to discussing their superficial chemistry, Wells Adams mentioned Dale's past relationships with strong-willed women. In light of Dale's current preferences, he considered Clare's famous dramatic moments from her Bachelorette season. Wells observed, noting these recurring traits,

"And how many meltdowns do we see Clare have? This is now happening where I’m like, 'Oh yeah, this is a pattern'."

According to Adams' perspective, Dale may be unconsciously looking for partnerships that require a certain amount of emotional instability. Even while Kat seems more laid back than Clare, both Wells and Bachelor viewers are keeping an eye on the couple to see if any parallel dynamics emerge as their relationship progresses on the show.

Wells says it wouldn't be shocking if history repeated itself, making Bachelor in Paradise as familiar and unpredictable as ever.
