What happened in Head Over Heels Episode 6: A quick recap
Episode 6 of Head Over Heels opens with an emotional moment as Gyeon-u finds Seong-ah crying in the rain outside his house. She’s heartbroken after discovering that he threw away the lip balm she had gifted him.
Gyeon-u brings her inside, and as they sit down for tea, Seong-ah notices something strange: a drawing scribbled over a photo of Gyeon-u and his late grandmother. Being a Shaman, she quickly points out that drawing on someone’s face, especially someone who’s passed away, is considered a dark spell meant to send their soul to hell.
Later, Seong-ah confronts Yeom-wha, demanding to know why she’s been hurting Gyeon-u all this time. Gyeon-u happens to overhear their conversation and finally learns the truth. Yeom-wha has been casting dark spells on him, all while secretly worshipping an evil deity.
Her twisted intentions are now out in the open, which is why Seong-ah's spirit mother curses her to death. However, Yeom-wha doesn't give up and continues to attempt to bring the evil deity to power by placing her blood over the haunted house gate and placing Gyeon-u's picture.
Thanks to Ji-ho, who continues to be the human amulet for Gyeon-u, even pulling an all-nighter with him. Later in the Head Over Heels Episode 6, Gyeon-u mentions that he knows why Ji-ho keeps touching him, just like Seong-ah.
After Yeom-wha’s dark ritual, the Flower Master, Spirit Mother, and Seong-ah join forces once again to fight off the ghosts. The episode features an action-packed battle, as the trio takes down the dark forces to seal the gate.
The next day, Seong-ah’s classmate Kim Jin-ung has a terrifying run-in with his abusive father, who has just been released from prison. In a panic, Jin-ung runs away and ends up hiding in a haunted house. The loyal dog ghost that always stays by his side leads Seong-ah to him.
Even though Seong-ah is in her school uniform and doesn’t have any protective amulets with her, she rushes in to help, but Gyeon-u suddenly appears. He’s not acting like himself anymore, and it’s clear something’s off. Yeom-wha’s dark ritual seems to have taken hold, and now Gyeon-u looks completely possessed.
What to expect from Head Over Heels Episode 7?
In Episode 7 of Head Over Heels, Yeom-wha confronts the Spirit Mother, demanding to know why she didn’t let her die. The preview hints that this episode will finally dive into Yeom-wha’s past, revealing how she ended up worshipping the evil deity in the first place.
Meanwhile, Gyeon-u will find himself in life-threatening situations and may even clash with Ji-ho. He’s been plagued by misfortune since birth, and Seong-ah continues to do everything she can to protect him.
Episode 7 promises to be an intense ride. Not only will it reveal more about the characters, but it will also bring Gyeon-u and Seong-ah closer than ever. So far, the K-drama has done an impressive job of blending fantasy, humor, heartfelt storytelling, and raw emotion.
