Miley Cyrus was so into composing music for the Canadian show Heated Rivalry. She told Variety that she is "so in," and she wants the creators to book her. Now, one of the lead actors of the show, François Arnaud, who also talked to the outlet, has responded to that. He says that:

"I think we might get a little bit bigger budget for Season 2, but I don’t know if we get Miley budget. I think if she sees the show, she might give us a discount."

The show was a hit and gained a massive viewership following its release on streaming platforms. As of this writing, it holds a critics' score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, with the critics' consensus on the website reading:

"Jacob Tierney lovingly adapts Rachel Reid's hockey-set romance novels into an all-consuming, steamy, dreamy love fest of true queer intent, making Heated Rivalry a bona fide winner."

Audiences, too, have given it a fresh score of 95% on the Popcornmeter, and their consensus on the website reads:

"A charged Heated Rivalry between two captivating protagonists delivers a magnetic love story that leaves us wanting more."

There will be another season of Heated Rivalry. However, the release date for it hasn't been announced yet.

How did Heated Rivalry Season 1 end?

The first season's ending is seemingly the beginning of the story that is to come. At the end, the leads, Shane and Ilya, played by Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, respectively, are finally together.

It was after Arnaud's Scott Hunter, who publicly kissed his boyfriend, Robbie G.K.'s Kip Grady, that Ilya accepted an invitation from Shane and visited his cottage. Now, they have the place to themselves for around a couple of weeks, where they can do anything.

However, things are about to get complicated, too, as Shane's father has seen them together as they kiss. Now that everything's known to his family, Shane has decided to tell the truth. But this was only momentary, as when he talks about his relationship, his parents are understanding enough to let things continue.

What to expect from Season 2?

If we go by the books, the next season of the TV series will begin after a decade. Ilya and Shane have been in a relationship for ten years now. However, they have kept this a secret from everyone. Though Shane's family already knows this, as we say at the end.

According to the book, things are about to get complicated for the couple as they struggle to keep up with their private life. On the other hand, they too are going through some personal struggles, where Shane is dealing with more professional issues, and Ilya has started seeing a therapist.

But one big obstacle that's mentioned in the book's summary at Publisher Weekly is that there is a viral video that will reveal their s*xuality before a game. That will really be interesting to see how they are going to handle all this.
