Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, who play two hockey players and arch-rivals in HBO Max and Crave's sensational queer hockey romance, continue to unlock new levels of stardom with each passing day.

After being catapulted to near overnight success following the release of their record-breaking show, based on Rachel Reid's Game Changers book series, the stars are all set to present at the 2026 Golden Globes.

According to an official report by Deadline, a source close to the Golden Globes has confirmed that both the stars of Heated Rivalry will not only be in attendance at the upcoming Globes but will also present.

More on this in our story.

Heated Rivalry stars set to present at the 2026 Golden Globes

For the uninitiated, the 24-year-old Canadian-born actor Hudson Williams and the 25-year-old Texas-born actor Connor Storrie rose to prominence following their roles in the Canadian Crave series, which was also released in the US on HBO Max in late November.

Heated Rivalry follows the decade-long secret fling between arch-rivals, the shy Captain of his Montreal Metros Shane Hollander (Williams) and the cocky Captain of his Boston Raiders Ilya Rozanov (Storrie). While Shane and Ilya are pitted against each other by the media, they struggle to maintain their distance off the ice.

The series became a sensational hit, making both Williams and Storrie overnight stars and the Internet's favorite boyfriends. As the Heated Rivalry actors continue to enjoy their breakout success, they are set to take the stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the location of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, scheduled to be held on January 11. The annual awards ceremony, which is held to honour excellence in film and TV, is one of the most prestigious.

Fans can stream Williams and Storrie's Golden Globes debut from the comfort of their homes as the ceremony's live telecast will be aired on CBS on January 11. Fans can also stream the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Paramount+.

In addition to the Heated Rivalry stars, the 2026 Golden Globes will be a star-studded event, hosted by Nikki Glaser, who will return to host for a second consecutive year. Mike White's black comedy series The White Lotus led the TV nominations with 6 nods, followed by Stephen Graham's limited psychological crime series Adolescence, which bagged 5 nominations.

HBO Max's hockey romance is renewed for Season 2

As Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie embrace their breakthrough success, creator and writer Jacob Tierney is in the process of writing Heated Rivalry Season 2, which was confirmed mere 15 days after the show's steamy two-episode premiere. The news, albeit exciting, was not shocking for the fans and stars, considering its record-breaking debut, which became Crave's most-watched original series to date.

Additionally, Hudson Williams made his late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 7. His co-star Storrie, who presented the nominations for SAG-AFTRA’s Actor Awards alongside Janelle James, will soon follow Williams' footsteps and appear on Late Night with Seth Meyers on January 12. This is the first late-night TV appearance for both stars.

As fans continue to gush over the lead actors, their co-star, François Arnaud, who plays the Captain of the New York Admirals Scott Hunter in the HBO Max show, is also enjoying the limelight in the media. The breakout star recently presented at the Critics’ Choice Awards, ensuring that the Heated Rivalry frenzy continues to dominate the awards-season conversation.
