The latest episode featured multiple mistakes, undercooked dishes, burned flatbreads, and more, resulting in a dual elimination. As a result, Carlos and Maddy were sent home from Hell's Kitchen.

Hell's Kitchen Season 24 Episode 2 Recap: After Cheftestants make multiple mistakes, two of them are sent home in a double elimination

For the latest episode of Hell's Kitchen, Cheftestants had to prepare "perfectly cooked" and delicious scallops. Those who deliver impressive results would receive a Punishment Pass. It could be later on used by the Chefs to swap themselves to the winning team and avoid the punishment. For the challenge, Chefs had 30 minutes.

After the Cheftestants complete the preparation for their dish, Michelle and James would choose the dishes that would advance to Gordon Ramsay for tasting. For that, James chose Jayden, Antonio, and Chris's dishes (Blue Team) while Michelle chose Anaiya, Jada, Lisa, and Cat's dishes (Red Team).

Further in the episode, Anaiya and Chris received the Punishment Pass from Gordon Ramsay. Along with the best dishes, fans also witnessed the worst dishes called out by the chefs. This included Cara Marie and Maddy (chosen by Michelle) and Carlos and Chase (chosen by James).

As a result, Gordon Ramsay eliminated Carlos from the competition. It happened before the dinner service was carried out. According to Gordon, Carlos's performance was "underwhelming" and that he was not ready.

While leaving Hell's Kitchen, Carlos's parting words were:

"I feel like I let my state down. I am so disappointed in myself."

Hell's Kitchen Season 24 Episode 2 Recap: Dinner Service turns sour as Cheftestants are unable to deliver expected results

Further on Hell's Kitchen Season 24 Episode 2, viewers saw the dinner service featuring the participating chefs. It was quite an intense situation for some of the Cheftestants even though they had already been through an intense menu training.

One of the chefs, Bradley, felt panicky while Chase accidentally burned the flatbread. As for the Red Team, Jada and Elaina's performances were appreciated right from the beginning when they served the appetizers.

Things were not going well for Team Blue. After Bradley and Antonio failed to communicate about their dishes, the latter went to Gordon with his dishes. However, Antonio's scallops were sent back by Gordon. As for Chase, after burning his flatbread the first time, they were still raw after his second attempt.

Hell's Kitchen's Bradley accidentally added peas in his risotto, which cost him a lot of time. Later, when Gordon saw Chris taking out the peas, he threw the dish into the trash, calling out the cheftestants:

"You're a bunch of f*cking idiots. Get your s*it together!"

Red Team's Maddy couldn't recall any of the orders from the tables she was sent for regrouping. After burning multiple flatbreads, Blue Team ran out of cheese which didn't sit well with Gordon. Maddy's first salmon was undercooked, and the second ended up being overcooked. As for Henry, he delivered a raw lamp chop to the table.

After seeing more mistakes, Gordon Ramsay lashed out at Maddy and Cat from the Red Team. He also nominated the two for a second elimination. Along with them, Blue Team's Bradley and Chase were also nominated. Hell's Kitchen's second elimination was Maddy.

"New Yorkers may be tough, but properly cooked salmon shouldn't be. Maddy is gone because she wasn't able to figure that out," announced Gordon Ramsay.

After a shocking double elimination, the show had 18 remaining chefs still in the competition.
