The Amazing Race Season 37's latest elimination shocked the viewers, while fans were saddened after witnessing that it was Brett and Mark who went home. The tenth leg of the reality show featured the remaining five teams traveling from Italy to Germany and then France.

One of the fan favorites and a strong team, Brett Hamby and Mark Romain's elimination from the competition broke many fans' hearts. It is because there are many fans who have been rooting for the married Vegas performers to win the current season of The Amazing Race.

I agree Brett and Mark were supposed to advance to the show's finale, and seeing their coordination, dedication, and passion, the duo might even have won the show.

The Amazing Race Season 37: Brett and Mark's elimination was truly a shocking one

Ahead of the upcoming finale, Brett and Mark's elimination shocked fans, and well, of course, me. They were one of the teams I have been following closely, and seeing them perform so well, they were one of my favorite teams as well.

However, it all went away after the duo faced navigation issues and were lost during the tenth leg of the show.

The Las Vegas duo performed in a total of ten legs of The Amazing Race Season 37 and won two of them. The first leg, covering the United States and Hong Kong, saw them in the second position, where Brett was the one who performed during the roadblock challenge.

Another significant placement was during the show's fifth leg, featuring Indonesia, where Brett and Mark secured the first position. For leg seven, where teams were headed from Dubai to Bulgaria, they were placed second.

For the ninth leg, again, Brett and Mark secured the second position after Brett performed in the roadblock challenge. However, things didn't work out during the latest, tenth leg of the show, where, among five teams, they were the last to arrive at the pit stop.

Being so close to the show's finale, and getting eliminated, they were not sad. While leaving the show, seeing Brett getting emotional, Mark said:

"We had a hard day. I'm proud of us. I'm proud of us because I feel like we are strong and we fought really hard."

In addition to that, The Amazing Race fans also shared their sentiments via the social media platform X, mentioning how Brett and Mark were supposed to make it to the finale.

A fan wrote on X, stating how Brett and Mark are kind and how they hoped for the duo to be in the finale:

"Noooo, so sad to see them go! Was hoping Brett and Mark would be in the finale. They are such kind people. Hoping there is another fan favorite race soon. #AmazingRace."

Another fan mentioned how Brett and Mark were close to The Amazing Race Season 37 finale:

"Oh no smh. Brett and Mark… they were so close… #AmazingRace."

Witnessing such a strong team getting eliminated definitely made a strong impact on fans. However, that's the game, and that's what makes it a competition. The rest of the four teams advanced to the show's next and final leg. It would be quite interesting to witness them competing to win.

The Amazing Race Season 37 Finale will premiere on CBS on May 15, 2025.
