"Here to show these newbies how to play": Mystery houseguest Rachel Reilly after her Big Brother Season 27 comeback

After much anticipation, Big Brother Season 27 revealed the mystery houseguest. Former contestant and winner of the thirteenth season, Rachel Reilly, joined the CBS show as the mystery houseguest.

Big Brother Season 27 premiered on July 10, 2025, featuring 16 housemates and one mystery houseguest. It is Rachel's third time on the reality show. Earlier, she participated in seasons 12 and 13. After winning the 13th season, she has now returned and surprised everyone.

After she arrived on the show, as the mystery houseguest, she shared:

"I'm back b*tches!. I'm here to show these newbies how to play Big Brother."

Big Brother Season 27: Rachel Reilly joins the housemates as the mystery guest

As the CBS show's premiere featured 16 houseguests, Rachel Reilly was revealed. Initially, she was supposed to be the mystery houseguest. However, later on, it was revealed that one of the cast members who joined was her accomplice. Fellow housemates were supposed to find out that member, because that person was the actual mystery houseguest.

When the Big Brother Season 27 premiere announced that Rachel was the mystery houseguest, fellow housemates were shocked. On the other hand, some of the fans have already correctly guessed that it would be Rachel.

Later, when she shared about her accomplice and how that person was supposed to be discovered, everyone was surprised. Then, the housemates were told to find out who that person was, and when they did, that person would be eliminated.

However, if the cast members could not find that person, the game would continue.

After marking her return to the CBS show, Rachel announced:

"Floaters grab a life vest. Reality royalty has officially arrived. I hope you’re ready for a summer filled with the Rachel Reilly."

For fans who may not know, she was part of Big Brother Seasons 12 and 13 and won the latter. While in the house, she met her now-husband, Brendon Villegas. The two have two children, including a daughter, Adora Boraelis Villegas, and a son, Adler Mateo.

After Rachel was revealed on the show, her husband, Brendon Villegas, took to Instagram and shared how they had been keeping her participation a secret. On July 11, 2025, her husband shared a video clip.

At first, he acted as if Rachel were right beside him. Later, he revealed that:

"So, we have the whole podcast laid out, we're just running through some stuff. Okay, yes, so, I don't know how to tell you this, it might come across as quite a surprise, I was dishonest with a lot of you. Rachel...wait for it...is in the Big Brother house. Yes, I know. I know. This might come as a shock."

He added that, while the fans were waiting for the podcast to drop, there was "no podcast."
