Polish historical drama Heweliusz will premiere on November 5, 2025, on Netflix. It will tell the horrifying story of the capsizing of MS Jan Heweliusz in 1993. In the incident, more than 55 people lost their lives due to drowning, which occurred near a German Island in the Baltic Sea.
Other than retelling the story of the tragic event, the Netflix series will also have the survivors and victims' families fight for justice and hold people accountable for their negligence.

The upcoming historical drama series on Netflix revisits one of Poland’s most heartbreaking tragedies of the 20th century. The show will portray the devastating day when a ferry sank in the Baltic Sea near Rügen, claiming the lives of 55 out of the 64 people on board.
The series will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. According to IMDb, all five episodes of the series will drop on the same day. However, a confirmed number of episodes has not been shared yet.

Furthermore, RMF FM's journalist Katarzyna Sobiechowska-Szuchta interviewed several actors during the filming in 2024. One of the actors shared with the journalist about their experience of filming the underwater sequence that was filmed in Brussels, and stated:
