Heated Rivalry stars, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, brought their signature charm and wit to the Golden Globes 2026. The breakout stars of HBO Max's queer hockey series made their Golden Globes debut, held at the Beverly Hilton on January 11.

Storrie and Williams were not only in attendance at the Golden Globes 2026 but also took the stage to present an important award. This Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov reunion was nothing short of delightful for fans as Storrie arrived nervously on stage, saying:

"It’s a little nerve-racking here being here at our first Golden Globes.''

Williams was quick to encourage his co-star and asked Storrie to ''picture everyone in the audience, you know. . . .," making a hilarious remark at their steamy scenes in Heated Rivalry. When Williams wondered whether everyone in the audience had seen their sensational show, Storrie said:

''That's a maybe. But their trainers have, and their moms have, and their daughters have."

This resulted in one of the most cheeky shoutouts of the Golden Globes 2026, as the Heated Rivalry stars addressed their actual fanbase:

"Hi moms! Hi daughters!"

More on this in our story.

While fans are gushing at the Heated Rivalry stars' cheeky shoutout to fans at the Golden Globes 2026, both Williams and Storrie made fashion statements at the red carpet. Between their near-overnight success after the show's record-breaking premiere on HBO Max and their debut on the Globes' red carpet, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie served looks and arrived in contrasting black-and-white outfits to the ceremony.

The 25-year-old Canadian actor, Hudson Williams, was the first to arrive in a polished Giorgio Armani ensemble, complete with a white silk shirt, white dinner jacket, black pants and Christian Louboutin boots. However, the scene-stealers of Williams' Golden Globes 2026 look were the white complementing cummerbund and Bulgari jewelry, which elevated the look even further.

Williams' Texas-born co-star Connor Storrie, who pulls off a perfect Russian accent in Heated Rivalry, was the next to arrive in a chic Saint Laurent outfit. Storrie opted for a classic black tuxedo, white shirt and a sleek black tie. However, the stylish sunglasses and Tiffany & Co’s Bird on a Rock brooch were the real highlights of Storrie's look.

After Williams and Storrie's cheeky bit, the Heated Rivalry actors presented the award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role, which was bagged by actress Erin Doherty for her exemplary performance in Netflix's Adolescence. While Doherty had tough competition from the other nominees, including Aimee Lou Wood, Parker Posey & Carrie Coon from The White Lotus, Hannah Einbinder from Hacks and Catherine O'Hara from The Studio, the actress won her first Golden Globe and delivered a powerful acceptance speech.

While the Heated Rivalry stars dominated the Golden Globes 2026, from the red carpet to the stage, they were given a humorous shoutout in Nikki Glasser's opening monologue, who returned to hosting duties for a second consecutive year.

In a cheeky nod, Glaser started the Golden Globes 2026 by honouring the show's breakout stars and stating how American audiences are ready for more ''hockey-based shows'':

''We have got the stars of Heated Rivalry here, Connor Story and Hudson Williams. Listen, I don't want to get too serious, but stories like these don't always get told. And I hope that the success of Heated Rivalry is proof that American audiences are ready for more shows about hockey.''

Williams and Storrie will certainly return for another round of steamy and adorable chemistry as Shane and Ilya, as Heated Rivalry is already renewed for season two. Jacob Tierney is currently in the writing process for the sophomore season, which will adapt Rachel Reid's The Long Game and follow Shane and Ilya as they begin a new chapter in their relationship.
