The tenth episode of High Potential specifically focused on Elliot played by Matthew Lamb. It further sheds light on Morgan's childhood and the journey he went through subsequently. While on one hand, Morgan is beset with mysteries at the work front, she also has to put up with trouble at home.
Here's everything that we know.
What happened on High Potential season 1 episode 10?
From his first appearance on the latest episode of High Potential, it was clear that Elliot was the youngster who most closely resembled Morgan, academically speaking. Elliot, in High Potential, follows in Morgan's footsteps by discussing the geopolitical implications of their family night board game and viewing niche documentaries for entertainment.
Elliot even assists Morgan with analyzing a classified case file after she illegally carries evidence home. Elliot's closeness with his mother helps him to blend in at home, if not elsewhere.
Elliot is a clever youngster, unlike Ava, who is a regular teenage girl struggling with first love, birth control, and self-discovery. Despite his shyness, Elliot feels free to share his humorous information because Morgan frequently exhibits similar behavior. The family dynamic Morgan has with her children is a major reason to watch High Potential, although her children experience just as much difficulty as she does. Being smart has both advantages and disadvantages, as Elliot discovers in the recent episode.
The mysterious murder of a nanny
The most recent episode had two tiny children colliding with a dead body. When the girls discover a corpse blocking their path down a playground slide, it transforms the site into a murder scene. The murdered woman is Tara Foley, a nanny who frequents the park.
The medical examiner informs the police that a hefty hit to the head killed her. Her attacker struck Tara close, and she went into the slide to escape. She died at 10 PM, and sadly, there are no CCTV cameras nearby. The nannies report that a strange man had been loitering about the park, and he looked interested in Tara.
Meanwhile, Morgan and Adam interview Brett and his spouse, Jeff, and discover Tara was their son Ward's babysitter for four months. Brett maintains he liked Tara and would not have sent an angry message if he had known something was wrong. Tara is described as lovely and caring, and she enjoys watching TikTok dance videos. Jeff recalls her talking about a guy who would follow her around. Tara claimed he had a limp and was constantly reading a French newspaper.
After much explanation, it was discovered that Oksana is Eastern Orthodox and Tara is traditional Catholic. Tara scheduled Exaltation of the Cross on September 27th at 7 PM. in her calendar. But Catholics acknowledge it on the 14th, which implies Tara was going to Oksana's church rather than her own. Tara must have noticed Oksana was tormenting her. The immigration lawyer's number on her board was to report Oksana for creating a fictitious identity, which might result in her visa being withdrawn.
Morgan closes the High Potential episode by meeting Jeff while watching Ward play at the park. Morgan offers him a snapshot of Tara and Ward together. Tara clearly loved Ward, and just seeing them together makes Jeff sad.
