High Potential Season 2: Kaitlin Olson teases Morgan’s love life and confirms filming a "big makeout scene" - here's everything to know

ABC's High Potential Season 2 premiered on September 16, 2025, and has become another successful season of the popular crime drama. With more new cases, the season also focuses more on Morgan's and the lives of people around her, with Morgan's romance being the most anticipated storyline.

Kaitlin Olson, who plays Morgan, recently revealed filming a makeout scene during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. While talking about friends of her kids watching the show, she also revealed the details about the makeout scene and said:

"I just filmed a big makeout scene a couple of weeks ago, and all I was thinking about the whole time was like… oh man, I know Jonah and his mom watch this together, so we’ll see how that goes. I apologize in advance…"

However, she did not reveal with whom she filmed the scene.

High Potential Season 2: Morgan's make-out scene in the upcoming episodes

From the beginning of the crime drama series, viewers have been curious about finding out whether Morgan and Karadec will end up together or not. While in Season 1, Morgan was with Tom. However, he has not been seen in High Potential Season 2, giving hope to Morgan and Karadec fans.

Furthermore, with the new information Olson shared with Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show, the anticipation has also increased. However, the actress did not reveal with whom she filmed the make-out scene or in which episode we will get to see it.

However, fans are sure that it will be either Karadec or the new Captain, Nick Wagner, played by Steve Howey. Howey's charismatic character has already gained attention since he joined High Potential Season 2, and the chemistry between Morgan and Wagner is surely unmissable.

Both Wagner and Karadec are fans' top choice, and even showrunner Todda Harthan teased a love triangle angle between these characters. During an interview with TV Insider in September 2025, when asked about a love triangle, he stated the chemistry between these characters is so perfect that he does not want to shut down the idea. He shared:

"I never say no to any good soap these days. When you’ve got Daniel Sunjata and Steve Howey standing in the same space, and then you drop Kaitlin Olson in-between them, chemistry starts to take off and you go, ‘Well, we’re probably going to write to that.’ I certainly am putting that firmly on the table."

However, there is no confirmation on who will romance Morgan in the upcoming episodes. It can be Karadec, Wagner, or a flashback scene with Morgan's ex-boyfriend Roman, or even someone entirely new. Therefore, we will find out more in the upcoming episodes of Season 2.
