High Potential Season 2 continues to make headlines with each episode, and this time we're talking about fan-adore character, Morgan and her police partner, Karadec. As seen in the first chapter of the show, Morgan has an exceptionally high IQ, and this leads her to join the LAPD.
However, not everyone is happy to have Morgan in the police department, especially Detective Karadec. Unlike Morgan, Karadec preferred using his old ways of solving crimes and found it challenging to initially trust her.
But Morgan didn't take much time in winning Karadec's trust, and the two ended up being an iconic duo, solving crimes together. Now in High Potential Season 2, many fans are curious about their love lives.
With them being single and having great chemistry since Season 1, fans would love to see Morgan and Kardec as a couple. What's even more interesting is that in episode 5, Karadec says:
"You don’t know Morgan if you think anyone can claim her."
This brief yet powerful statement happened when Wagner says that it was a smart move to claim Morgan as Karadec's partner because of her strong investigative instincts. And Karadec's immediate response and refusal of the idea that anyone can "claim" Morgan explains how much he respects her.
High Potential Season 2 episode 5 proves how much Karadec understands and respects Morgan
When Morgan Gillory joined the LAPD, she didn't immediately get along with Karadec. Initially, the two had comedic clashes, and as they solved cases together and Morgan became the key player in digging out the truth in every mystery, Karadec realized her skills and intelligence.
Now, in High Potential Season 2, Morgan and Karadec remain a fan-favorite duo of the police department. The new chapter began after the events of Season 1, and the kidnapping of a woman as a new case.
At the same time, Morgan's missing husband remains a major focus in High Potential Season 2. She is also being watched or targeted by a mysterious figure called the "Game Master," whose true connection to her hasn’t been fully revealed yet.
This means that Morgan has a lot to solve in this chapter as well, and needs someone who understands her deeply. And that person turns out to be none other than Karadec. As previously explained, Karadec told Wagner that Morgan isn't a woman who can be claimed easily.
This will surely make fans' hearts race as Karadec sees Morgan as an independent, strong-willed, and unattainable woman. It also hints that his admiration for her might be rooted in something deeper than friendship.
And since ABC has released only a few episodes so far, it would be intriguing to see if their friendship takes a step further and if there's a chance for them to start a romantic relationship.

The cast of High Potential Season 2 on Morgan and Karadec's relationship

Since Morgan and Karadec's relationship is widely discussed among fans, actor Daniel Sunjata was asked to share his views on the duo. In an interview, he said:
"I'm not surprised that people jumped on board with that because it’s between the lines and almost implied."
Sunjata, who brings Karadec to life in the ABC drama, continued:
"She's got options. Karadec probably has a few options too. We’ll see what happens."
The actor did not reveal exactly what's going to happen between the two, but he did say that Morgan and Karadec have options. The interview also included other cast members, Matthew Lamb and Amirah J., who play Morgan's kids, shared their thoughts on Karaded and Morgan's storyline.
Amirah joked that since her character’s father, Roman, might return, she would have to "root" for her own father. Matthew Lamb added his own imaginative prediction, saying he had planned it out in his head multiple times: first, Morgan and Karadec would start dating, but then Roman would return, causing Karadec to feel sad in High Potential Season 2.
So, the speculation continues, and fans will gradually find out what happens between the two.
