The third episode of House of David Season 2 starts with David and Mychal discussing how they would broach the topic of marriage to King Saul. They think that speaking to him about their love for one another would help the King understand the situation and eventually make him choose Mychal as David’s bride.

However, when David tries to speak to the King about changing his bride, King Saul is quickly angered. He reminds David of the advantages that he has provided him, and he should just accept his fate. Both David and Mychal are disheartened. Mychal speaks about feeling disheartened by her father’s decision to her sister, Mirab.

However, little does she know that Mirab is involved in this whole situation. Though Mirab does not reveal the truth, it is King Saul who eventually spills the truth that Mirab asked to get married to David. It eventually led the King to make the decision. This infuriates Mychal. She had no idea that her own sister would betray her in this manner.

She is enraged by her sister’s betrayal and even slaps her. Mirab tries to speak about the reason; however, Mychal does not listen to her. During their dinner, Mychal begins to attack Mirab in a passive-aggressive manner. She is truly devastated to know that her own sister would do such a thing when she is well aware of her feelings for David.

Later, David accompanies Eshbaal on his way to convince Yahir to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage. However, their journey is not a fruitful one. Initially, Yahir refuses Eshbaal’s marriage proposal right away. David then tries to make him understand the benefits of getting Dinah married to Eshbaal, which makes Yahir accept. While they are returning to the palace, they are attacked. David and the others try their best to handle the situation and return to the palace.

David then understands that his negotiation abilities could help him persuade King Saul as well. So, he tries to negotiate with King Saul about the marriage. However, unlike Yahir, King Saul does not get persuaded by his words. This makes David ask King Saul to give him time before the marriage, which the King accepts.

Hence, David and Mirab’s marriage will not happen anytime soon in House of David Season 2. It can be expected that there will be further complications now that Mirab and Mychal are against one another. King Saul’s relationship with his wife is also taking a turn after he finds out about the lies that Ahinoam told him.
