Eliab is completely taken aback to hear Joab’s orders about killing the innocent villagers. After completing the mission, Joab and Eliab return to the Tabernacle to join the others.

Eliab is in a state of agony. He feels an intense sense of guilt. It pushes him to the verge of killing himself.
