House of the Dragon season 3, which will continue the story of the Dance of the Dragons, is currently in production. A few other actors have been cast for season three, and Redanian Intelligence has reported that Darren Evans is one of them.
House of the Dragon season three will bring us closer to the war that led to the near extinction of all dragons. The second season ended with Rhaenyra declaring war and making it clear that only Aegon's death can now stop Rhaenyra.
House of the Dragon new cast
Earlier, some of the new cast for season three were revealed. Tommy Flanagan will play Ser Roderick Dustin, Dan Fogler will play Ser Torrhen Manderly, James Norton will play Ormund Hightower, Tom Cullen will play Ser Luthor Largent, Barry Sloane will play Ser Adrian Redfort, Joplin Sibtain will play Ser Jon Roxton, and Annie Shapero will play a character yet to be revealed. Now, Redanian Intelligence has reported that Darren Evans has been cast for House of the Dragon season 3.
Evans is known for Submarine, Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators, and Galavant. It is yet to be known what character Evans will be playing. Hopefully, an official announcement from HBO will make things clear.
Season three will bring a lot of new characters into focus, making the stakes much higher. Both Rhaenyra and Aegon will have increased allies, and while Allicent wants to surrender in exchange for the safety of her family, Rhaenyra has lost too much. She has lost her son, Luke, and Rhaenys in the bloodbath started by the Blacks. She will not give up until she sits on the throne and Aegon is dead.
Allicent has realized the gravity of her miscalculated actions; she mistook Viserys' last words and put her son Aegon on the throne, which was meant for Rhaenyra. Now that so much blood has been shed, we know from Game of Thrones that this conflict will end with more death and destruction.
The main cast from previous seasons will be returning for season three, including Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Harry Collett as Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, Bethany Antonia as Lady Baela Targaryen, and Phoebe Campbell as Lady Rhaena Targaryen. Other cast members returning are Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Ewan Mitchell as Prince Aemond Targaryen, Tom Glynn-Carney as King Aegon II Targaryen, and Phia Saban as Queen Helaena Targaryen.
