Netflix's House of Guinness, Steven Knight's upcoming period drama series, will take its viewers behind the Guinness brewing company, one of the most successful alcohol brands in the world.
Slated for a Fall premiere on Netflix, the period drama series is a dramatization of the Succession-esque battle of inheritance after Sir Benjamin Guinness' death in the 19th century. Leaving the rusty alleyways of Birmingham behind, Knight is gearing up to transport his viewers to 19th-century Dublin and New York, where Benjamin's four children were locked in an inheritance battle for the brewing juggernaut in their family.
House of Guinness, an eight-part series, is directed by Tom Shankland and Mounia Akl, who also serve as executive producers alongside Knight, Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Martin Haines, and Ivana Lowell.

What are the plot details for House of Guinness?

In an interview with Netflix's Tudum, Knight described his upcoming period drama series as:
“It’s the extraordinary story of a family who happens to be the inheritors of the biggest brewery in the world. They’re young and are given the task of taking on this incredibly successful brand. The first priority is: Don’t screw it up. And the second priority is to make Guinness even bigger.”
The series follows the Guinness dynasty, one of Europe's richest and largest breweries, established by Arthur Guinness at St. James's Gate, Dublin, Ireland, in the 18th century. House of Guinness is set in 19th-century Ireland and New York in the wake of Sir Benjamin's death, the grandson of Arthur, and the man responsible for taking his brewing company to extraordinary heights.
According to Benjamin's will, Edward and Arthur must run the brewery together or forfeit their inheritance. House of Guinness will closely follow the family drama that unfolds between the four children after their father's death. The inheritance drama will examine the siblings' struggle as they go through various highs and lows to earn their birthright to Black Gold.
