How did Dale and the crew tackle the gas leak in Landman Season 2 Episode 3? Details revealed

Landman Season 2 is in full swing, and the intensity of the plot increases with every episode.

Episode 2 sees Cooper strike a goldmine with the land he found, as every single spot in the land yielded huge amounts of oil. However, this ends up creating a rift between him and Ariana, who breaks up with him after she expresses concerns about what having too much money does to a man.

Landman Season 2 Episode 3, however, shows Dale and his crew handling a life-or-death situation, where they efficiently tackle and overcome a gas leak.

Landman Season 2 began airing on November 16, 2025, and the third episode was released earlier today.

Dale and his crew handle a dangerous gas leak in Landman Season 2 Episode 3

At the beginning of Landman Season 2 Episode 3, the audience sees a group of hunters going after wild boars, and initially, it seems like they are successful in hunting them. Feeling victorious, one of the hunters went to click a selfie with their kill, but they immediately ended up collapsing to the ground. Surprised, his friends went to check up on him to see what went wrong, and met the same fate.

As the camera pans out, the audience gets to know that the kill had taken place in the backyard of an oil well, and there was some kind of gas leak that had taken place, causing anyone who went near it to die.

Shortly after, Dale, Boss, Ben, Jerrell, and Russ arrived at the location to check it out, as per Tommy's instruction from episode 2. There, they are supposed to investigate the pros and cons of the equipment present, and they do so quite quickly. However, things get interesting when Jerrell goes to the top of the silo to investigate further. From the height, he immediately spots all the dead bodies strewn around and realizes that something is wrong.

While Jerrell stays in the silo, the rest of the crew goes to investigate the dead bodies, and they understand something is wrong when the H2S sensor on their shirts goes off. They run to try and escape the situation, but all four of them end up coughing and puking violently. Jerrell seems to be safe on top of the silo, but this only lasts till the wind changes direction again.

Meanwhile, Dale realises that Jerrell needs to be rescued from the top of the silo and this needs to be done through a chopper since he cannot come down and escape without meeting the same fate as the hunters. So, without wasting any time, he calls for emergency services. However, when he realizes that emergency services would take too long to arrive, he orders everybody to wear their hazmat suits for protection.

While the rest of the crew is still wearing their hazmat suits, Jerrell collapses due to the effects of the gas leak. Dale, who was already suited up, rushes over to Jerrell to at least put a gas mask on him till the chopper arrived, which it did shortly after.

While Dale, Boss, and Russ got away relatively unscathed, Jerrell and Ben were taken to the hospital in the chopper itself, since they were affected the most.

Although the episode was intense, it showed the crew efficiently dealing with a crisis situation when they were faced with the gas leak.
