A crucial character in Hazbin Hotel, Vox, brings forth quite an intrigue amongst the viewers. Besides the interesting storyline with which his storyline comes to life, his height is also something that the viewers often look for. In the series, Vox is the antagonist who creates quite a troublesome situation for the other characters. In the second season, his presence is extremely significant, as Charlie will now have to take on a powerful villain.
How tall is Vox in Hazbin Hotel?
Hazbin Hotel depicts Vox as a powerful antagonist in the storyline. His domineering presence becomes further fearsome because of his towering height. Vox is 7 ft, a height that perfectly suits his manipulative nature. In Hazbin Hotel, Vox comes with many abilities besides being immortal.
However, at the end of the second season of the series, things do not turn out well for him. Charlie and Vaggie’s plan was to distract Vox so that they are able to get into Voxtek. They want to get rid of Vees’ mind control. Their main goal is to broadcast that redemption is possible. However, Vox would definitely not make things easy for them.
Vox’s distinct god complex, which often made him get distracted, led to his eventual destruction. Right after Charlie and Vaggie’s plan begins in Hazbin Hotel Season 2, Episode 8, Vox introduces Charlie and tells her that he is glad to see that she accepted his invitation.
However, his words are definitely not welcoming but rather extremely condescending. Seeing that Charlie brought a date, Vox begins to tell her that the bold move to bring an angel was definitely a bold move, which he “can respect”. The manner in which Vox speaks always has an air of superiority. Vox’s mind is completely taken over by his desire to take over Heaven.
Vox’s impulsive nature becomes the source of his unraveling in this episode of Hazbin Hotel. Alastor makes Charlie admit that Vox is the strongest sinner in hell, which makes Vox completely delirious with excitement. As Charlie’s words stroke his ego, he thanks her by touching his shoulder.
This was the exact thing that Alastor wanted. Alastor is able to break free because Vox touched Charlie, because he swore he would not lay his hands on her. In the end, Vox is not able to succeed, as Valentino and Velvette behead him.
Vox’s voice actor, Christian Borle, perfectly captured the essence of Vox’s character in Hazbin Hotel. Vox is a layered character with his own struggles. These aspects are brought to life in a nuanced manner through Christian Borle’s intricate voice acting.
The moments of Vox’s ego taking over or the struggle he feels when he is beheaded, each and every element is distinct and leaves an impact through Borle’s voice acting.
Throughout Borle’s career, he has brought life to many characters with his voice, such as Rusty Topsail in Vampirina, Lucky in Lucky Duck, and many more. Besides his voice acting, he also brought life to characters through his acting prowess on the screen. His other notable projects include Prodigal Son, Smash, Peter Pan Live!, Run the World, etc.
