The latest trailer of the next Halloween-based episode of Family Guy on Hulu has become available to fans as a new spooky (yet amusing) preview of what is going to happen. This special episode will involve the Griffin family embarking on another crazy, over-the-top family holiday, with all the usual satire, pop culture jokes and nonsensical mayhem of the show.

Family Guy, in its 23rd season, remains one of the most successful and long-running cartoon comedies on television, combining extreme jokes and stunts with incisive social satire.

The new Halloween episode appears to be a combination of classic horror allusions and surprises. The teaser delivers it all: Peter and his wanderings, Stewie and his plotting, and lots of jokes that are on the edge of spooky and hysterical making the episode ideal viewing during the spooky season.

The recent trailer for Family Guy's upcoming Halloween special has been made public by Hulu, providing viewers with an early look at the eerie fun they can expect in October. The special, A Little Fright Music, will premiere on October 6, 2025, with the teaser released on September 30, 2025. As part of this year's Huluween program, it will only be accessible on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

As is customary, the episode seems to be a parody of various horror classics, making brief references to The Exorcist, Scream and It. The tone of the trailer is striking with a comedic timing and Halloween elements, pumpkins, graveyards, and Peter in an uncertain vampiric costume.

The teaser promises pandemonium, hilarity, and Halloween horrors. One plot revolves around Stewie and Brian, who discover that Halloween is severely short in fresh music. Tired of hearing "Monster Mash" on loop, they resolve to create their own Halloween song. The teaser has several funny interactions between the two, with Stewie rapidly dismissing Brian's weak rhyming ideas in his trademark snarky way. Fans can expect the typical back-and-forth banter, as well as some outrageous musical comedy.

Since its release in 1999, Family Guy, the production of Seth MacFarlane, has been a staple of pop culture ever since. The series has adapted well to current trends but remains true to its irreverent nature, with cutaway gags, self-aware humor and sharp voice performances. MacFarlane still voices some of the key characters, and the writing staff takes chances on the topical jokes and absurd storylines that keep the long-term spectators entertained.

The Halloween episodes are traditionally popular among the fans and they are usually the highlights of the season. The latest installment will provide a blend of dark comedy, absurd family misadventure, and clever parody this year, a reminder that the spooky aspect of Family Guy is as amusing as the daily mayhem.

Cast of Family Guy

Family Guy has an excellent voice cast. Seth MacFarlane remains the voice of Peter Griffin, Stewie, and Brian, and he is able to alternate the personas of the most legendary characters of the show. Alex Borstein stars as Lois Griffin, the long-suffering mother of the house with her own quick tongue, and Seth Green is back as the awkward-but-lovable Chris Griffin.

Mila Kunis returns as Meg whose misfortunes are also a running joke, as is Patrick Warburton as Joe Swanson. Special appearances are set to be made by guest stars in the Halloween episode, giving the episode an additional layer of parody and humor. Even with its experience in voice talent and bravery in writing, Family Guy still manages to prove that, after 20+ years, it is still the king of animated satire.
